Es una pena que los Filipinos no hablen Español
despues del genocidio que hicieron los angloamericanos con ellos😢
Hi your MBZ LOOK AWSOME. I have 1999 c280 w202 and 1991 300e w124. I wonder if any of you have any tips of where we can obtain Mercedes OE parts for maintenance. Some are hard to get. Thanks in advance
ОтветитьDREAM CAR RIGHT THERE ! ! !
ОтветитьWhat a great presentation !
ОтветитьBack when Benz built solid cars.
Ответить"V"-126 thanks for the knowledge. Between W108 & W109, are they different just because of the length (SE/SEL)?
ОтветитьKeep in mind that way back in the day, Diesel was less expensive than gasoline.
Ответитьthis car has a beautiful colour combination and seems like in great shape. i own a '88 Euro W126 420SE and a later S500 W220 myself. not sure if i could enjoy a diesel 126 but i guess there is a reason why they haven't sold them here.
btw. speaking of aerodynamics like a box: the 126 chassis has a drag coefficient of 0,34 which was impressive back then and is still really good today. huge improvement compared to it's predecessor W116.
All US w126 cars came with a driver's side airbag.
ОтветитьMercedes-Benz began sales in the Philippines in the 1950s as the dominant luxury car brand sold in the Philippines in that time. BMW and Audi weren't sold in the Philippines until the '90s because during the Cold War, they don't meet vehicle standards in the Philippines in that time. Correct me if I'm wrong. In the 1980s, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126 became the flagship luxury sedan in that time beating out the BMW 7 Series E23 in 1980, but was later beaten by the BMW 7 Series E32 in 1987 delaying the release of the W140. Guess what. Ferdinand Marcos owned one W126. Another was used as Corazon Aquino's official state car. Even Michael Jackson owned one too which was built in 1985.
ОтветитьComo de Bello es el Coche, así de Excelente quedó la fílmica de este majestuoso Mercedes-Benz, de Película. Saludos desde República Dominicana
ОтветитьI just picked up a like new 1987 300sdl with 160k miles for $500.
Everything works. The body and paint is perfect. Interior looks like new
And it's a local 1 owner car bought new by a doctor. I also have a real nice
1987 300d with 163k miles which I think I will sell soon now that I have the 300sdl. The older mercedes are fabulous cars.
Great review. Thanks for making the video. This brought me back. My parents had a Diamond blue 1987 300SDL bought new in San Diego with the stock rims chromed and accented in 24K gold plated emblems and trunk trim. So 80s! They went on to sell it and buy other Mercedes over the years and now today they own SUV Mercedes. But something about that 300SDL was special and a stand-out. I do miss it. I think you may be mistaken about the fuel economy the diesel had over the gas 300SEL. IIRC, we experienced as good as 30mpg and over (highway); that coupled with lower Diesel gas prices at the time made it significantly better. Yes, the 560SEL and 420SEL made better power, but the downside was the abysmal gas mileage as low as 10-12mpg if you were to drive as freely as you wanted to. Thanks again for your work in putting out the videos; am enjoying all your Mercedes content and seeing the cars drive around Manila!
ОтветитьThe Mercedes-Benz W126 was the flagship luxury sedan of the 1980s followed by the BMW 7 Series E23 and E32, but both those BMW 7 Series sedans I mentioned weren't sold in the Philippines because BMW wasn't sold in the Philippines until the mid '90s.
ОтветитьKyle wru in Singapore or Hong Kong
ОтветитьHow older r u anyway
ОтветитьReplace the trap and it will be a lot faster.
ОтветитьThis still has a trap oxidizer. There was a recall for it.
ОтветитьGreat video. It almost brought me to tears. I'm 46 years old; I've been driving Mercedes sedans for 27 years. My first Mercedes was a burgundy 1987 300SDL just like that one same color. I always thought it had an elegant look. I still do, all these years later. It was 9 years old, and I was 19. I wish I'd never sold it. I did notice that if it's indeed a 1987 SDL, someone has upgraded the interior a little. The center console with the roll-up compartment under the armrest didn't come out until later.
It's sad that they only built that engine 1986-87. They ruined it when the 3.5 came out. Less than 14,000 300SDLs were built. I had an 86 and an 87. I'd love to have either one of them back. Finding one today, in decent condition and at an affordable price is close to impossible.
Thank you for the video. It brought back great memories of my youth and of one of the best cars I've ever owned.

ОтветитьThis would be the car for me if only I had the money to buy it and to pay the ridiculous third party car insurance premiums they charge in Italy
ОтветитьKyle got that lightskin stare tho
ОтветитьWhile stationed in Germany (US Army), I finally realized how important the headlight wiper blades really are. During winter in Germany, while driving on the wet (and dirty) roads, unbelievably, the headlight's get covered with a road film so heavy, dark, and disgusting that it actually snuffs out 90% of the light from the lamp. It really limits the view to like a "Model A, or T" ford from the 1920's. And now I don't think they are as ridiculous as I once thought.
ОтветитьJust got back from an hour-long cruise in my father’s ‘86 SDL. You feel like a million dollars rolling down back roads and Interstate highways in these. My oldest Benz is the ‘84 300SD with the 5-cylinder turbodiesel and the shorter wheelbase. That one is arguably faster than the SDL right off the line, but when the turbo kicks in on that SDL, you feel the extra torque for sure. They both keep up in traffic just fine.
ОтветитьLong live the classic mercedes!
ОтветитьWow that W126 is pristine ! probably one of the best here in the ph.
It looks like you've reviewed every classic MB from the 70's to the 90's Kyle :) still looking forward if you can review a Fintail or a Ponton hehe.
Awesome review! Very detailed and engaging! IMO your best yet!!! 🙌
And that's Filinvest, Alabang. You passed by my condo 😂
Best in the world.. thanks Kyle..🤗🤗
ОтветитьThis is the most beautiful car from Mercedes without a doubt
ОтветитьNice review! The prices you quote are about the same here in the US for a well-used SDL. However, lower mileage, excellent condition examples will go for $15,000-30,000 USD at retail auction sites. Diesel popularity has waned somewhat in my part of the US, as gasoline is $3.50 a gallon and diesel is $5 a gallon, which negates the higher MPG advantage of diesel cars.
ОтветитьThis isn't not just an old mercedes.... THIS IS A TANK!
Ответить💪💪💪
ОтветитьOhhh yes, Nakaka miss yung mga old car review mo finally you're back haha 🤪
By the way I'm waiting parin sa old Lexus Ls400 review 🙂😘🥂
