Tbh the sheer variety and randomness in the messages leads me to believe it was a group of hackers or employees just fucking around after someone got a backdoor into the system. From the inconsistent tone to the style changes with the colors and fonts to the odd changes in voice, it just makes more sense to me if it was at lease a couple people messing around

i still play and i remember when i was a kid i wanted to work at kingsile. i was 10. ofc i didnt really find an issue with the company. but as i kept playing, there became this aura of hatred and betrayal surrounding the company and how it treated its playerbase. there was this feeling that kingslie kept caring more and more about the money. they ban players for no reason, flag players for not reason, and its gotten so buggy recently. its so so buggy now. if you start playing the game now and see how many bugs, the game used to work nearly flawlessly, bugs were rare.

I wanted to play this so badly back in the day but I never got around to it!

in the tutorial the headmaster told me to wait a moment and i waited forever, multiple times after restarts. i was like 8 and asked my parents what does a moment actually mean and i remember them talking to a doctor about my comment. i feel like that was adding into some sort of diagnosis. thanks wizard101. still haunts me to this day

When I heard about this I pretty quickly wrote it off as an employee who got fired but they didn't revoke server access. After this, though, I love the theory that this is a marketing stunt to promote a nostalgic game as "adult friendly" to the people who used to play it

I just saw a wizard 101 advertisement so when I saw it i immediately went back to this video

I fell in love with wizard 101 when I was about 7 years old and I would proceed with the main story until I reached a tunnel where I had to have membership to continue the story (back then I was too lazy to ask my grandma to give me a membership) so I would just morph into a fairy and fight random creatures with other people my favorite element was storm.

Have you ever played Ponytown or Derguns Town? they have beef and I've always wanted to know the truth about it.

Ahaha the stuff about the paywalls is so funny. I used to play with a friend who had a membership, and still sometimes do, and we can only play together during special events when the whole world is open. It's awful.
