According to Wikipedia, Final Fantasy 7 was acknowledged for boosting the sales of the PlayStation. If Final Fantasy 7 could do that for the PlayStation, imagine what if could have done for the Nintendo PlayStation.

this is a beautiful project that sony and nintendo could remake and sell to fans. would sell millions of these devices, because the expectations for this merger of brands in this video game project with cartridge and CD bring us a lot of nostalgia to this day

I'm viewing this in retrospect, but was it supposed to be an add-on to the SNES and/or Super Famicom? Or was it always meant to be a SNES model with a built-in CD-ROM like this?

Can it play just SNES games or can it play PS1 games, I know the Prototype duelshock is basically just a different colour SNES controller but it would be cool to see!

Playstation is nothing without Nintendo because if it wasn't for Nintendo then playstation wouldn't exist. Just remember, playstation took inspiration from Nintendo

CD Games that had cart power Built in would be phenomenon this is Tech behind some 3d games that resemble holographic games we saw at Arcade about Thirty years Ago little known to Home Gammers if they strayed Completely away from arcades for about 1$ you could play holographic games they were Way ahead of their time but real small viewing with huge Console otherwise awesome . Use Holographic tech to make A Holographic Room, painting it with white and Black paint . Would probably allow ,an otherwise unheard of Idea, The Holographic Room or Holo- Deck . Enjoy

Although Sony made a deal with Nintendo they always planned on releasing their own system, the failed partnership just sped that up. This is why Sony wanted to keep all rights to the cd releases so they could make the most profit but also use them for their own system. The beast was coming at which point is the question that has been answered many years later! The “partnership” was all just a learning opportunity.

Bigger story was the barracuda and the Sega master system with the apple one that was stored with the Nintendo playstation so the devil wouldn't show up.

This was one of many pieces of equipment Nintendo wanted to keep quiet about, they didn’t want people to think they were working with Sony anymore as they took their other ways and declined working with Sony because they wanted realistic blood and violence type games, they didn’t want to be peaceful with cartoon based funny playing schemes, with cartoons that were Mario bros, pokemon, they’re goals although in real life now are to make Mario and pokemon fully 3 dimensional games with great frames per second rates animations, realistic movement, very realistic animations, the skyboxes, artwork, designs of worlds to be more brought with depth into life as nicely rounded furniture and objects with smoothly added textures is what Nintendo thinks it\s the right movement to use.
Miamoto although knew that some people were aware that back then they did have relations to Sony employees and their ceo, big guys, they didn’t want to depart from them and didn’t like them, it was just to keep quiet although of what was there then to keep the PlayStation and Nintendo products in line with a reasonable skyrocket percentages graph of prices climbing the scales of exchange rates, the value of items according to analytics could make some games while not only rare, more expensive as well though to.
