very well made video!
ОтветитьWhat brand you use for braid?
ОтветитьJust found your channel and on the 2nd video of yours. Enjoy your to the point information. Thank you!
ОтветитьQuestion, do you let the worm do the sinking slowly by itself or do you use like a nail weight or a weighted hook
ОтветитьYum Dingers work like magic. Maybe I'll give Stickos or Yamamotos a try. I like to keep it all braid, as knots can cause some issues. I can get one to last all day. I use some plastic shrink tubing to keep mine on rather than an o ring.
ОтветитьHow long is your leader and what knot do you tie? Thanks.
ОтветитьTrick stick and dinger
ОтветитьI'v been using True Turn hooks. I like 90% of the time they hook the corner of the mouth .
ОтветитьI fish the Strike King OCHO!! Love it.
Ответитьso , no weights or sinkers needed?
Ответитьgreat tips...i love braid but hate the trouble of tying leader on but u convinced me to fish a wacky this way
ОтветитьWhat size vmc neko do you like to use?
ОтветитьCan you post your links for your rod and real again? Links aren’t working. I tried to enter manually for the reel and that didn’t work either. Thanks. Great video!
ОтветитьI tried this rig for about three hours in a large lake and nothing.. I tried different techniques when pulling it in.
ОтветитьPlease don’t take any offence but your hook was improperly inserted into your worm . Those rings are made for every day use and not for tournaments. The hook needs to go through the egg sack of the worm without the ring. This will turn your worm 90 degrees which allows for a more natural fall/appearance and you will double/triple your fish count. Hope this helps everyone that reads/understands this reasoning.
ОтветитьI just got back from SC two weeks ago and the wacky was definitely the ticket for the week. Your tip on the longer shank weedless hook is something I'm definitely going to implement on my next outing. Great tutorial and earned a sub.
ОтветитьWith the O ring, I've had a single senko last a few hours easy with plenty of hits. Key is having the O ring though
ОтветитьI use high vis 8 lb mono.
ОтветитьI like the strike king shim sticks. Those have heavy salt content and there are a lot of good color options for them
Ответитьwhat size hooks? 1/0?
ОтветитьWhy do people not like to talk googan baits? Just curious
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьNo disrespect bruh but That's a lie about Yum baits worms. I caught a 12 pound bass on a yum and tons of bass on yum bait worms even catfish that were over 8 pounds. it doesn't take special bait to catch fish. YUM worms are reasonable priced and they do the same job.
Ответить🥶
ОтветитьThis is my "they're being stubborn today" go-to. Kind of surprised you don't use the wacky rig as more of a slow moving search bait. I do the same as you with letting it sink to the bottom first, but I've caught many a bass (especially on days when they're fickle) by gently jigging it 2-3 times and then letting it sink again during the retrieve, rinse and repeat. Fall, lift lift lift, fall, lift lift lift, fall etc. Covers a lot more water and can get reaction bites. In fact I've caught more during such a retrieve than on the initial fall. Worth a shot when they're being picky!
ОтветитьLinks don't work for several items
ОтветитьThe plastic worm it is one bait that will catch bass year round I never go fishing without a worm and jig tied on 👍
ОтветитьYamamoto 10 lb mono suffix green pumpkin red flake I don't even worry about any other color or bait it catches that's what I use. But I may try to braid trick Because sometimes it is hard to see if that fish bit and sometimes it is too late.
ОтветитьThank you for being so simple and descriptive for us beginners!
ОтветитьGoogan soft baits are overrated
ОтветитьWhat line you using? Link dont work
ОтветитьThanks for the great video on Wacky Rigs!! I have had success using this method!! Amazing how the fish just go crazy for it!!🐟🐟🐟
ОтветитьSeems like the line tip is basically fishing like your using a fly rod with no strike indicator. Works great, never thought of doing it with my bass fishing setups though.
ОтветитьI catch just as many fish using the KVD Ocho's as I do with the Senko's - not sure what the salt content is with the KVD's.
ОтветитьWacky rigging is definitely a fun way to catch ‘em. Especially on the light tackle. When I take out people who don’t really fish, I set them up with wacky rigs.
Unfortunately, the 2 clubs I used to belong to should have been called “wacky bass club”. That’s all everyone ever used. People would literally show up with 6 rods rigged with different size and color senkos. It was frustrating and brainless if u ask me. I really didn’t want to join the trend so I wound up quitting the clubs.
Using these hooks this past weekend in a tournament , with 30 minutes to go I jumped off a 3 1/2 pounder on a VMC wacky hook. On inspection of the rig after the hook was sprung open alot.......alot. Before you say anything 12lb test on a Dobyns 734 no over kill on the setup. Bad hooks straight up!
ОтветитьGreat video but i do have a question what size hook do you use?
ОтветитьI fish a shallow lake and the Yum Dinger seems to get hit more often than the Senko.
ОтветитьI use Yum 5" Dingers. Watermelon w/red flake, Bama Bug, Ghilie suit, and Black w/blue flake colors work well for me. 10lb braid, 3/0 Wide gap worm hook, 6ft Shakespeare Ugly Stick medium action rod. Shakespeare 1000 reel....some gave it to me years ago and I never bothered researching the specs on it 😂. BUT I do catch bass in clear or murky waters with YUM. Ive used Gary Yamamoto and Googans and had less success but to each his own and its fishing😂
Ответитьvery i informative lesson.thsnks. teah the less is more in wacky wormin
ОтветитьI USE 5/16TH HEAT SHRINK TUBING AS A HOOK REINFORCEMENT TO GET MORE USE AND LIFE OUT OF MY WORMS
ОтветитьGreat tips, thanks! What pound braid do you use?
ОтветитьGreat video. You know what’s weird though, I have completely different results on our Colorado bass fisheries. I tried the Gary Senko, the bass pros, and some other fat ones like zoom and others. Turns out on the waters I fish, mostly clear and grassy, I have to downsize the worm diameter and length. I’ll catch almost nothing on the OG senko, but slaughter them with yum dingers and some other smaller 4-5” worms. Could be people just pressure these waters way too much here with senkos, so simply giving the bass a different look works.
ОтветитьWhat size is Neko Hook? I'm a newbie and need help.😢
ОтветитьIs it a 2/0 hook?
ОтветитьVery well done Nathan.
I enjoy your postings often.
I like Kistler rods too.
I'll likely use my Graphite, GRSP703LMH <--- Good choice?
I'd like to know your thoughts/opinions on these for making wacky worms last/secure:

Love the Wacky Rig. I have used Octopus hooks going to change to VMC HOOKS!
ОтветитьThanks again for another great vid Nate
ОтветитьI'm in love with the Gamakatsu versions of those hooks. For me, the weed guard works much better
