Hi, I have a simple question that's been hard to answer... Is stippling (dotwork), whip shading, and pepper shading different from each other? Or are they just different synonyms for the same technique? I mean, does the term vary the effects or the hand movements? I've found several conflicting views on the matter and am even more confused now. Thank you in advance!

My shading I still get stubbles even with a mag what am I doing wrong I’ve gone slower and faster to see if it changes and also changed voltage and still I get the stubble looks be I have to go over a lot

Is this whip shading or shoveling? It looking like whip shading but then it's cross hatched? Can I achieve this even shading just using RS? I'm doing PMU On lips but I can't get the circle movement to come up even so I'm just wondering if I can just use a technique like your doing here to do even shading on the lip?

Any advice for irezumi shading?

Honestly I think the hardest thing especially with tattooing my self is the healing process since I do have a regular job and get dirty everyday ink ends up falling out even if I did tattoo all the way through the dermis

Are you riding the cup while doing this?

It is possible to shade in from a previous dot design??

My ink usually looks thick how do you get yours thin

I am 17 learning how my self cause I’ve always grew up with my dad doing tattoos and I’d come along and help with the drawing process for the stencil. But I’d like to learn how to actually do it, just got a kit and now I’m studying. :)

Hey idk how old is the video but I like your shading. I mama keep my story short. I learned how to tattoo in prison and got out and continued my art career. I only know how to use round liner needles and I shade and gray wash with them. I want to learn how to use these wide shading mag needles. What do you suggest? I tried to use the wide shading mag but from what I’ve heard was that I can cut the client and the needles and barrel turns into a blade and cut instead of ink the client. So I stuck to what I know and used only lining needle from 3RS-14RS . Can I get some pointers?
