No exaggeration Darren, that walkthrough video changed everything for me. I never found that type of intro with Premiere, so I had a hacky utilitarian knowledge. Starting fresh with DVR via your video was a totally different experience. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI just bought davinci and I'm already terrified especially the color page but your tutorial makes it look a little bit easier.... thank you Darren
ОтветитьMostly on the strength of your videos, I downloaded DaVinci Resolve. I've already done a little test video of footage I shot in FLog2. I can't get over how much more intuitive the workflow is compared to Premiere Pro! I took the same footage I used to create the video in Premier Pro and the process was much faster, from editing to color grading to creating output.
I've been toggling between your videos and my test project and it has been really helpful! I'm concentrating on basics now, but look forward to using more advanced techniques like tracking. I'm thinking of going to Studio just to buy the package with the quick edit panel, though just using the keyboard seems fast and easy.
BTW, since you do broadcast work, my introduction to editing was in 1968. I was hired by a local television station to run audio on weekend news broadcasts as my high school job. They quickly added processing and editing news film to my tasks. I've since done both editing projects at my design school and also some directing and non-linear editing for instructional videos at a medical school. Now I just have fun!
u me godsend
ОтветитьThank you. Good delivery.
ОтветитьI've watched a few videos on how to get started with grading in Davinci, but this is by far the most insightful and well-explained! Thank you Darren!
ОтветитьIt will be great to practice with some raw footage!!
ОтветитьThanks again, what an absolute awesome video, Im already to this point, I want to go deep down to all these color page scary graphs and etc, do you have another video which explains these options in more detail.
ОтветитьWorking my way through the tabs. I love how concise your videos are!
ОтветитьHey, really love Your content on colorgrading, great stuff! I really wish You would make monitor calibration tut with calman in resolve (with x-rite calibrator or similar). There are some videos about it but often times "teacher" dont know half of the settings etc. So i suspect i have some settings wrong and my monitors calibration is not the best it could be. But ofc display cal calman has got not the easiest settings to understand. All the best!
ОтветитьThanks Darren for all these videos in which you covered the basics of first-time Davinci Resolve 18 users. In every video, you make it simple to understand how this software works.
ОтветитьThanks, Darren - for demystifing DaVinci Resolve for us. Much appreciated. Love your content, and greetings from the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 :D
ОтветитьYou're the boss, keep going, thanks for taking the time to do this for us.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for doing these videos and share your work !
ОтветитьThanks . I am a pharmacist and enjoying video editing for family stuff and very basic editing but I like learning and know about possibilities... I have heard/work with the most complex dosing schedules for patients being discharged after multiple organ transplant. But never heard about a node. Pretty cool. Good teaching style.
Ответитьeach and every second of the video is priceless. really welly explained.
Ответитьthis is amazing. thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьSo clear.Thanks
Ответитьhow do i know my color space transformation on a canon mark 2 5d ?
ОтветитьFantastic! So helpful! Wished I'd have seen this kind of video when I first started DVR. Many thanks for your patience with newbs.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьNew sub from Belgium here. Thanx
ОтветитьGood evening How are you I hope you are fine I have a request from you. I hope you provide a comprehensive and detailed training course on the program for beginners. I am from (Iraq) and I am a fan of the way you explain the program. I hope that you will present it and name each video with a first part, a second part, and what follows For DaVinci Resolve 18 Thank you and I wish you success.
ОтветитьCan you also tell me how to Calibration it later? I'm trying to use Displaycal, but it doesn't work well..
ОтветитьSubtitles don't sync...
ОтветитьBrilliant inflight to color grading.
ОтветитьThank you very much! I’ve watched several videos from other channels and they have been very confusing, this video was super simple, thank you so much!
ОтветитьThanks for the great video Darren. Your videos are very informative and easy to understand! I'm having an issue with changing exposure when recording out in the sunlight. Depending on which direction i point the camera, the sun gets in the frame and the exposure changes rapidly, resulting in rapid brightness changes in the footage. Can you please make a video on how to tackle this issue? I'm thinking of maybe the davinci resolve color stabiliser effect in the color page, or if there is a better way?
ОтветитьI prayed to the universe for a mentor for color grading and here I am. lots of love and appreciation.
Ответитьgreat video Darren, but it seems that the audio is out of synch or it's my computer ?!
ОтветитьGreat Video,Easily Over-stood And Informative. Thank You
ОтветитьJust discovered your fantastic channel - Subbed :)
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge and making it easy to understand for beginners. I have a question. When we color grade a clip in time line does it apply to the entire clip? Including the portion we didn't bring in to the time line? Hope you see this. Thanks.
ОтветитьAmazing Class! Really needed this for the IPAD version.
ОтветитьHey Darren, firstly, thanks so much for doing these tutorials. They have been so incredibly helpful and are by far the best I've come across. In the process of switching from FCPX to Resolve as my main NLE and your channel has become my go too. I wondered if I could ask you advise on something? I've trawled every forum but not come up with any solutions. I'm grading a mini doc, a lot of it was shot at night so the Noise reduction has been used on most clips but for some reason there is just one clip it's not having any effect on? Wondered if you'd come across this before? I'm at a bit of as loss to figure out why.
ОтветитьHi Darren thanks for the great explanation of nodes and the basic tools I finally understand how they work
Ответитьi have understood
ОтветитьOne of my lecturers told me about your content and I'm so glad he did, there's some really good stuff that has expanded my knowledge as well as some nice overviews of what I already know to act as a refresher. I've made it a routine to come and watch some stuff before I tackle any big projects. Thanks for doing what you do, your channel is the perfect resource.
ОтветитьThank you very much
ОтветитьExcellent ❤
ОтветитьHi Darren, greetings from Canada! 🇨🇦
Having found your channel just a few months ago has been pure bliss when it comes to having the best resource person about Resolve. I'm just a beginner editor for our church production delving into color grading and these tutorials are top notch essential for any Resolve users. I'm excited for you and your content as I believe there's a lot to cover in Resolve. For what it's worth, I wish you the best and thank you for the quality content!
Thank you, a very useful video.
A (dumb) question for you. If I were to shoot video and photos of a building's interior, and during the processing of the photos I set the Temperature and Tint to certain values in Adobe Camera Raw to get the correct white balance. Could I somehow enter those values into Davinci Resolve, so the white balance was exactly the same for photos and video?
If that's not possible, is there a workaround to achieve this?
Thank you.
