I remember listening to this constantly on my 'Walkman' back in 1996 I was obsessed with with this track, I went on holidays with my parents to Maljorca back in the summer of that year, I listened to it at least 6 times a day.

Timeless: The Remixes has just recently had a couple of promos for the pre-order, featuring these two titanic tracks, of course, so of course I find myself digging back through Goldie's channel to see what I'd missed in the time between.📀

I remembered how great a job Vanessa Haynes did of representing Diane Charlemagne and pure vibing when she wasn't singing.💃

I remembered how buzzed Goldie was off Adam Betts's immensely tight drumming, making sure the crowd gave due respect and then getting up close and personal for that pressure release.🥁😤

I'd forgotten how much of an impact this work had on me, with floods of tears and full-on double fist pumps at the close.✊😭✊

I haven't forgotten how much my tape of Timeless got rinsed to death in 1995 aged sixteen and onwards.📼

You the man man and I'm not the first to say it. Your music is fierce and melancholic combined perfectly, plus the aesthetics you bring when combining these emotions are always next, next level. From Mission Impossible rmx to that Stormtroopa synth / horn thing coming in in the middle, the rattle-snake-hi hats in Seventh Seal, it's all new, inspiring, bold and vulnerable at the same time. All hats off for you my man!

The live lead vocalist is great, but misses the poignancy that the late much missed Diane Charlemagne brought to Timeless the album. I'm sure Goldie recognises just how much style and soul she brought.
