There is something disturbing about having Christianity, one of the largest religions today, have it’s few remnants be a man fumbling his prayers before he dies.

The Nora are tribe that follows the teachings of the "all mother" the mountain in which the high matriarchs live. The high archy system is focused around mothers who hold more power then average folk, the matriarchs which are grandmother's hold more power than mothers, and the high matriarch or great grandmother's pretty much run everything. In this society men are usually the hunters, gathers, farmers, and builders. They never hold seats of real power though some are well respected, and others like Rost are even so well respected that they are treated well in exile. You have to really push the high matriarchs but they will tell you why Rost is exiled which does have to do with his family, Aloy was entrusted to him because they knew he would take care of her and she couldn't be accepted into the Nora. It's not stated why in the opening but you can gather from the high matriarchs that for one reason or another Aloy was found motherless in the mountain on the shrine to the all mother, which left the high matriarchs divided on whether the infant was a blessing or a curse which led to her exile.

Not a type of game i can play, but ill sure watch it

That opening got me crying. Breathtakingly beautiful. Powerful storytelling. Heart-touching themes. I’m so excited for watch this tale unfold.

Can someone tell me how to just drop items from my inventory?
I'm at the part where I killed the boss [REDACTED] and collect the [REDACTED] from its remains. But my inventory is full. And I'm not allowed to leave the area to go to the merchant until I finish the quest. But the quest won't finish until I have collected the [REDACTED]. So I'm stuck. I can't figure out how to just drop items from my inventory. I'm playing on the PS4.

Watching this for kicks - never watched any of this game before, but dang what an introduction. Makes me wish I had Playstation instead of Xbox...and time to play haha

i first played this game when it came out. i just watched for nostalgia. i almost cried at the end

Finally getting my shit together to watch someone play this.... Blame the Force of Nature song by Miracle of Sound. It was so good. Lets see if this game is as awesome

I'm a few years late but amazing episode!

It might seem small to others, but I do want to thank you for explaining some words I might not know and their definitions. English isn't my first language and even though I've been speaking it for a lot of my life, it has been somewhat limited so I don't know a lot of words others might know. I thought it was a nice touch and I was surprised because I was able to understand exactly what was going on. :)

I barely started watching this, but I love how thorough and observant you have been already, pointing out things I didn't even notice while I was playing

I love Aloy, because her curiosity and questioning mean that she's always learning things and finding new questions to ask.

And I can tell, that I'm going to love this playthrough: because, you, too, ask questions about what in the sam hill goes on in Aloy's world. You're quick to notice the details, and it's a let's play style I appreciate! grabs some popcorn and settles into it

I never got into this game before but i saw some of the new stuff on its sequel, i looked for a lp of zero dawn and this first vid has already inspired me to get this game and enjoy both of them

The transition from young Aloy to older Aloy never fails to give me goosebumps

finally a playthrough where I can relive almost exactly how I felt during my first playthrough!! the intentional wrong turn to discover datapoints and collectibles...feeling of awe when looking at the setting. trying to grasp different elements of the gameplay and guess what might've happened! loved this video...made me walk down memory lanes.

P.S. - I had actually tagged 3-4 Striders right there in the bunker, thinking Aloy may have to fight her way out. xD

What key do you use while using the focus to get to know the blaze canister is it’s weak point?

Okay, late to the party - but that montage / cutscene thing at the end, that was incredibly emotional for me.

For my personal preference skip the very first episode this is just a note to myself in the future because I replay the start so many times and I don’t want to sit for this anymore

I came here because others legit just ignore side quests and the character's call for help. Love it .

I love how much detail is put intk this game. That statue of the men on horses is really in Colorado springs, the ring of metal is the Denver stadium, red echoes is red rocks theater. Many of the plants you use are native to CO, others are able to grow in this climate. It's not absolutely perfect but man! They really looked into Colorado for this game.

The way they have animated her body movements is completely amazing. One of those things you don't notice is unrealistic in other games, until you see it done right.

Wow. First time watching this guy. He is catching SO MUCH just in the first few minutes of gameplay. Very impressive!!
