Thank you for always explaining this to people who are individual minds & not systems. Education keeps understanding. Thank you.
I've been fascinated in your situation for years.
Since Chloe.
Your channel is something that I just happened upon some day.
The way this occurs is so utterly heartbreaking.

I came across this recently before never having heard of it before and found your channel. I’ve watched loads of your amazing videos and thinks it’s awesome that you educate about us about it openly even though that’s probably challenging. I hope this isn’t an offensive question, do you ever wish you never have DID or has it brought you some comfort?

Question for Dissociadid (or anyone else who has an answer),
Content warning: mention of suicide attempt and abuse

Out of curiosity, can alters experience NEW trauma in the inner world? Say if a memory is shared early on, or an alter attempts suicide in the inner world, or a persecutor is hurting another alter instead of the body. Obviously you don't have to answer this if you're not comfortable. Stay safe everyone!

I had an inner world flashback a few months ago. I really wish this memory stayed away. I still have yet to process the flashes of imagery we received. My Littles have refused to come out since then since they don’t want to cope with this information either. I miss them, they’ve been quiet since the flashback.

I've been watching your videos for 5 (!) years now, and everything you had to say about recovery made me really emotional. Your channel has come a long way, and I've definitely noticed your alters speaking with more and more confidence about their experiences. I have a different (arguably less severe, but still disabling) set of disorders, some diagnosed and others I'm still finding out about, and I find your progress so inspiring. We have so much left to learn about ourselves, and the human brain, and I'm really happy to say that I now find that more motivational than distressing. The quest for self-knowledge continues!!

Side note, I've noticed less and less tension between the psychiatric field and disabled communities/disability rights advocates, which is another thing I find really encouraging. Still an issue, esp. with DID, but a better world is possible.

I’m a system alter due to DID and I flashback a lot, due to things such as SA, abuse, and deaths. Since I’m a fictive, I have memories of my fandom, but also memories that have happened bodily. I’m a hybrid (not quite human, not quite inhuman), and I regularly feel people pulling on my ears and tail, even when they’re not. I can show this to other alters and help them understand how to help the alters who flashback, including me and our host Quillon. - Ren

Warning: mentions name of alter that has fused.

First, love the hair!

Second, do littles understand fusions? I assume, Kyle was close with some littles due to his role, did they understand what was happening? Alternatively, how do you explain fusion to littles?

We have partial functional multiplicity. It is life changing. We have some hiccups with some alters, but we manage a pretty ok life. I have an ex persecutor who used to get phobia triggered and flashback triggered. It was so sad. our main system protector was a mess until he fused with a hurt fictive who was better off fused with our protector. This Fictive legit saved my protectors' life. I agree that flashback memory bleeding can be scary. That is how i learned about how we became a system (I am the host)

I was having eyelid surgery under local. I could hear a chold crying and I knew I couldn't move a muscle. I have someone who kind of takes care of the kids. Sees herself as their "mother." I panicicked and told her to do take care of the one crying. I had no clue if that would work? The crying stopped and I could focus on not moving again. She lety therapist know that she did not appreciate feeling ordered around. I explained and apologized to the insider and we got her "job" better organized for both of us.

Not knowing the term of flashbacks for so long but now knowing it is so helpful. Having “emotional leaks” and feeling intense emotion suddenly from a past memory is so terrifying and can set me back for weeks. It’s been so difficult to do it on my own but I’m so thankful for you and your system for continuing to help others with their mental health and providing all these videos as sources of information.

Do you ever talk about what happened to you as a child that caused this? Or do the personalities that help you forget, make it to where you literally don’t remember? Or will talking about it cause something harmful to the system?
