depois de tanto procurar a solução, descobri que era só trocar neste código...

if (isset($session->data['language']) && array_key_exists($session->data['language'], $languages)) {...
por este...

if (isset($session->data['1']) && array_key_exists($session->data['1'], $languages)) {

Problema Resolvido...espero ter ajudado.
