The most common user mistake on all sewing machines. But with vintage the direction of the needle is different from machine to machine which makes it more tricky to solve... Especially if you don't know this.
ОтветитьWhat causethread to bunchup on the babin
ОтветитьWhat model 15 is this? I have the same upper tension on mine but have no idea which model this is. Just a 1936 15. I can’t find any manuals with this same tension assembly. It was found under a house in western Washington state! I have cleaned it up but the thread doesn’t move smoothly through the tension unit. Any ideas would be helpful.
Ответитьthanks!!
ОтветитьI had no idea that the thread leaver arm had to be in the up position before lifting the foot.

ОтветитьHi, I recently purchased such a sewing machine, but I can't find any details about it 😥
ОтветитьThank you. This helped very much. Now to replace that loop thingy on the head plate where the thread goes down to needle hoop.. looks like a singer part will actually fit mine. (70s Russian hand crank)
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьWow, the most simplest thing! I was getting pretty frustrated. Thanks for this tip!! Fixed my problem.
ОтветитьYour video has saved my project within 20 seconds of watching it, thank-you very much!
ОтветитьThank you! I’ve just spent a FRUSTRATING whole day trying to figure out why my machine wouldn’t sew. I come here to your channel and it’s solved in one minute!!! Again thank you.
ОтветитьI’m trouble shooting this exact problem with my vintage singer treadle. I’ve already checked that the position of the needle is correct but it’s still doing the same thing. It will sew about an inch and the stop just like in this video. Do you have any ideas on what to do since I know the needle is in correctly?
