Sargeras Impales Azeroth Sword Cinematic - Illidan's Sacrifice Argus Ending [WoW Legion/War Within]

Aaaand here was when the actual story of World of Warcraft ended.

Really disliked this ending. Sargeras just—POOF—appears out of nowhere, like, "Hey guys! I've been right here, clinging to your planet this whole time. Did you like my cloud disguise?" I just finished the Argus quests and Antorus raid, and to my knowledge, it's not mentioned a single time that Sargeras is coming to Azeroth, much less actually made it there. In fact, you spend the entire time on Argus thinking that Sargeras wasn't even on Argus either, because—oh, I don't know—he didn't have a body; you know, like the entire point of the expansion was to get him back a body. He doesn't even have a body during Antorus when there are cut scenes talking to his commanders. Really sloppy story, but it was really well animated. Kudos for that.

Anyone else here trying to learn what "that sword" is?

The Scaling of the Sword, shown in the cinematic vs. the new cinematic, from the war within, is absolutely wrong...

I imagine this clip has gotten a lot more traffic recently with the War Within announcement trailer.

Remember when that games was good? There clip was allready past beyond that time and even there it was the department that made those clip that brought the players in. because it was the only thing left with a little bit of heart left in it and not only dollarsigns in the eyes...

so Sargeras was aiming at someone underneath the Azeroth

i think Elune is the "Guardian/Caretaker" for Azeroth's World Soul by the order of the First Ones

Many people may not realize that Azeroth is the last Titan, and her power grows significantly when awakened. She holds within her many imprisoned Old Gods and "wields" a corrupted sword likely owned by the Void Lords. Once she awakens, she could become a threat to everything, including the Pantheon. It's evident that the Void Lords had a well-defined plan involving Sargeras. He was essentially a pawn in their long-term strategy.

Who else came to see the stab after blizzcon 2023? After 6 years, that sword has had a fel of a glowup

Calling it now, the light crystal in the new Hallowfal zone is the tip of Sargeras' sword. The way the tip of the sword lights up as he stabs it into Azeroth matches. And from what they've shown of the crystal, the rocks around it are all cracked and shattered, it doesn't look like it's formed naturally at all.

The quality of the CGI and the art team's ability to create perspective of scale in the Blizzcon 2023 cinematic was INSANE.

Finally we are doing something about the damn sword

We are finally going take it out, wait for us our queen azeroth!

my theory is that sargeras wanted to kill azeroth because worldsouls are easily corrupted by the void lords (old gods masters) and in the new 3 wow expansion we will see how azeroth borns as a titan learning in the path that titans are not all good

finally WoW lore has meaning again
