My forehand is always going very high. I am left handed left eye dominant and right footed when I play football. How can I have a deeper and lower forehand?
ОтветитьYou can see the young man’s movements become more fluid when the coach tells him to relax.
Ответитьclick bait, what chair?
ОтветитьHe has a killer forehand. Perhaps good to explain that it works in some situations and in other situations which may not be under his control such as an opponent looking to counteract your tendencies, such as his tendency to full body rotation to generate both power and direction, potentially making him take that extra step to stabilise himself when landing.
With the early preparation and using racket speed to generate more spin, he has another type of weapon to generate or defend angles.
Wanna say thank you, been doing this for 2 days now and I play powerful forehand effortlessly
ОтветитьYou are the best coach!
ОтветитьMerci Patrick pour tes leçons sur you tube . C’est pas tout le monde qui peuvent ce payer des cours de tennis haut niveau. En tant que francophone ton anglais est facile à comprendre, ,, je me sens bilingue merci
ОтветитьWith all due respect, Mark's forhand is precise and powerful. His wrist is loose during the swing and his rhythm and acceleration are top notch. The only tip I would give him is to get a little more support out of the legs. That is missing especially in the drill to add more spin. Mark stands completely straight during that drill. Just saying there's more power doesn't mean there's more power! For me there is no transformation in 13 minutes!
ОтветитьHe’s 13?! Holy mother…
ОтветитьGreat video! So calm and collected... Will be one of englands best! Lets goooo
ОтветитьI don't get the wrist thing, I keep my wrist free then my racquet flies off my hands hahaha
Okay so I let go... My racquet flies 😂
Have watched many of your forehand videos before, and you seem to stress to follow through with right side. However in this one, it is not mentioned and it is obvious that he does not follow with his right hip to the direction of the ball.
ОтветитьI like 👍 this British 13 year old young guy's best hitting skills
ОтветитьWhat he transformed I didn't get it excatly
ОтветитьI'm gonna trust my hand. Thanks
ОтветитьThe criticisms of some people here imply that they don't understand the context. Patrick does not coach beginners; he coaches players who are already exceptional but looking for the kind of micro-adjustments that make the difference between being a top 100 player and being a top 10 player.
And this is just one step in a process. Patrick is focusing on just a couple of concepts so that his student doesn't have to think about a bunch of new things at once. Yes, the kid's forehand was already very good, but Patrick is giving him the tools to be both consistently good and efficiently good. These are some of the steps toward making a good player into a champion... which Patrick knows more than a little something about.
Sir, i am big of you..I have learnt a lot from your videos...
But I am still struggling to deal with high balls..
I see pro players crushing high balls...when I try to do that I either hit them to net or hit them out of court..
Please make video on dealing with high balls..
Kid looks like Rublev
ОтветитьGreat video. Have to ask though. Should I be making my eggs in a stick free pan (risking chemicals) or using an oil/butter thus adding calories? Lastly, should I try to disable IPV6 from my network connections if I feel my internet is running slow? Or likely not my issue all together?
ОтветитьI think his backhand is even better...top 10 in 5 years..
ОтветитьPlease fix mine - videos on my channel!
ОтветитьPat is a total fraud imo. He’s a bs’r at best
ОтветитьOmg milion times he said here here here here. How do you feel also milion times.
ОтветитьThis is a great video. I remember having exactly the same problem with the forehand. It is interesting to see that almost every beginner player can have this type of short or rushed forehand. Patrick's technique is gold. It took me a long time to get my mind to extend the arm through the shot as if someone would pull the front of your racquet forward and perpendicular to the net before you finish the swing up your shoulder.
So yeah, this is the best video I've seen that teaches a flawless, beautiful forehand.
amazing lesson. I learn so many thing on that. Thanks you so much
ОтветитьYet another amazing coaching session. So many pointers? Goons in the comments section complaining the kid is already good. Fml.
ОтветитьThe elbow is to near the Body i would say, but good fh
ОтветитьCurve the ball... Trust you hand..... Hmmmmm. Sorry to say but I don't see what is so exceptional in his advice.
The student already has a fluid motion and a loose wrist on his forehand, but just need to include his lower body more in the build up and his footwork and preparation needs to be improved. Especially on his backhand which is just a slap with his arm.
Should I always start uncoiling first before hand goes forward with the racket or both (uncoil+hand) comes together? I know my hand should be relaxed (to get wrist lag as well) but still looking for correct grip power/timing because sometimes my hand starts going forward sooner than my trunk and breaking kinetic chain.
Ответитьdude sees perfect forehand and has no idea what he will do. Proceeds with doing something completely random. Ohwell... I guess ...
ОтветитьKnew of Mark from his previous training centre, the same place Raducanu trained as a junior, could not believe he was 12 years old, he was already 6ft at that age.
ОтветитьI sooooo jealous 😮
ОтветитьAs usual a worthless video from PM. He has a great personality, but his technical advice is extremely vague and worthless. Just loosen the grip and swing fast and use more spin? Every hack knows those vague tips. He just told the guy to swing harder and it went faster which is caveman-level advice. Big freaking deal. Notice that he only let the kid hit from fed dead balls which is easy, but the true test is whether he can hit a live ball coming from his opponent from the other side of the net. Nice con job to not to let him try out the new advice from a real tennis shot! This advice was not tested and so PM proved nothing.
The other incredibly stupid thing about the video is that for the first 10 minutes the kid hits 90% backhands when this video was supposed to be about the forehand. Incredibly annoying and illogical.
Agassi would disagree with this forehand technique!! ie. He doesn’t hit through the ball enough.
ОтветитьNice video coach!!
ОтветитьActually two technical skills before the adjusting, it is the legs drive, but no upper body mass impact after that is the upperbody rotation, but it looks not smooth.
ОтветитьSo good, Patrick, in fact 'super good'!
ОтветитьWhat's weird is he doesn't look like he's trying at all but smacks some massive forehands. Hope to see more of him in future vids.
ОтветитьExcellent couching!
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьGreat Patrick!!! I ❤ your lessons 🤩🤩🤩
ОтветитьLoL...What is this whole nonsense all about?🤣🤣🤣Any bottomline?!😂
Ответитьreminds me of a young andy murray - kids got mad skills. keep it up he'll do big things.
ОтветитьPatrick trying to improve something thats perfect
Ответить13? Check the birth certificate
ОтветитьI remember hitting with him when he was much younger at David Lloyd Purley. Way to go Mark! Keep going and say hi to the family for me and your amazing mother 🎉🎉😃🎾
ОтветитьExtended arm is a style. Never mess with that. Being loose is also a misconception. That forehand was perfect.
ОтветитьMore like forehand tweak not really a transformation…
Ответитьi’ll try to trust my hand now and let go. just add spin. thank you for the tip!
ОтветитьThe kid was hitting it perfectly from the beginning what the coach said didn’t make difference the kid wasn’t making the effort and then he start doing it, he didn’t need this lesson anyway
Ответить
