I recently got a limited edition Halo Xbox 360 I've never had an Xbox before but I have a question and maybe you or someone in the comments can help me before I turn it on I know I have to make an Xbox 360 account is that still possible in 2023 or no cuz I already know they shut down the store I just want to know if I can still make an account on the 360

Should be called Whu you need a PS3. Xbox 360 is 720p with component wires. PS3 has HDMI. PS3 upscales 720p games to 1080p, and Xbox don't upscale. Playstation controller is flawless, while Xbox Dpads are a horrible flawed design.

Ive got the 250 gb slim, back when they were current gen I preferred the ps3 but now not so much, with the 360 i dont have to install the game data before I can play, it loads right off the disc, granted installing does speed up load times but its not night and day different. Microsoft nailed it with that generation.

From halo to cod, to minecraft and so many other incredible masterpieces. I loved this console to death, still own it I just wish I could get live gold to play the multilayer cods again. What an amazing console it is

Get your facts straight before saying anything. The JASPER models are the most reliable, not the Slims, or E. Slims and E are as reliable as a Falcon or even a “late” Falcon

Agreed with ya mate. Just got one recently and bought over 20 odd games for under £100 and they are great titles that play and look great. Having more fun on my 360 than on the modern gens

Hey Odeboo, this is really urgent. My xbox 360 S suddenly had the DVD drive not able to read ANYTHING. I also need to get xbox live off of my main profile (i cant access it, and when everything shuts down on the xbox 360 i will never be able to access the profile) i remember my account passwords and stuff, but its just that i cant enter the profile, it gives me some code message saying something went wrong with the credentials, or something like that. If you know anything to possibly fix it, anything will help.

I also play amiga and commodore 64 games on my laptop.
Those are the childhood memories for me.

Despite i have a modern machines, alos a PC, i'm still plug and play my 360 time to time because i got a massive backlog of games that i never play.

I have been considering getting another one they are really cheap now and I have a ton of digital games on their still plus they Xbox360 games are super cheap idk about online play but still

I bought series x over ps 5 ( I regret it so much, I admit), bought a few back compatible games, only to refund them promptly.

As much as I love the ps3 the edge has to go to xbox 360, it had so many great games that were fan favorites as well as exclusives. Till this day I have both my PS3 & Xbox 360! 💯🎮

Fun fact: with XBLA games being low in price, if you participate in Microsoft Rewards you can basically get free Xbox 360 games off the marketplace, this is how I got Fruit Ninja Kinect for free!

i had xbox 360 slim from 2011 and now in 2022 i got the red ring of dead i had over 200 games

Xbox 360 for me had a lot of fun games but Microsoft really left a sour taste in my mouth with their system. I had the original white console which would often suffer the ring of death, at times when it would do this, it would scratch the games with a perfect circle and destroy them. Microsoft denied that they were at fault and destroyed about 3 of my games that costed me 60$ which was a ton for a kid.

I recently bought an Xbox 360 Slim just to play Forza Motorsport 2 and 4. Since they aren't backwards compatible with the xbone.

lol my 360 just died, thankfully most of my games are backwards compatible, the only REAL losses here are nfs most wanted 05 which i have for PS2 black edition as well and flatout ultimate carnage which i also have as flatout 2 on PS2. there's a couple of games that i need to re-buy on PS3 like the saboteur and juiced 2 but that's about it

I have an ancient 360 arcade model, it still works and has never had the red ring of death! The only problem with it is it will not connect to my wifi, I have the wireless adapter and it lights up fine but the console just acts as if it isn't there? Plays discs no problem, currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and Need for Speed Shift, both excellent even in 2023, shame about the wi-fi and I can't do cable connection it's too far from the router and an awkward upstairs run which would be a mess... 🤷‍♂️
