i stumbled along this song in a Ren Zotto live stream and went to find the song and added it. When i first heard it i wasnt really paying attention to the lyrics. Now that ive really listened to the chorus i have been sobbing on my bed for an hour now

this song reminds me of whem my friend almost killed herself. She called me and i stayed on the phone with her for 4 damn hours, making her feel better. I said i would call again, and even go into her school once i hit her grade, but i never did call her or go into her school when i hit her grade. I still feel guilty for being selfish and giving a false light of hope when she needed it most. Im not sure if she has comitted suicide, and frankly i dont want to know. I already have horrible guilt for leaving her when she needed me most for my own slefishness when i couldve stayed true to my promise. At least this song gives me a kinda bitter sweet vibe to this whole thing

I interpret this song different than all the other comments I’ve read and probably incorrectly. I just had a good friend betray me and show her true colors on a grand scale. I never saw this bitter, mean, even cruel person I did last week, even after three years of friendship. I knew it immediately was over. I’ve not even cared. All the love for her has become hatred, how could I miss her? Then an old memory just from March came through my head. How we laughed and it felt like a core memory. I remembered the dozens others together we have. Tonight is the first night I’ve genuinely missed her, who I thought she was, at all. I know who she is and detest that person but man the person who had me fooled was kinda cool. I feel like I’m grieving the girl I thought I knew. Oh well.

This song reminds me of my bestfriend who died from pills, we were supposed to move in together but didn’t & ended up falling off in the last couple months of his life.. I wish I woulda been there for him & not judged him in my heart because maybe moving in & being there could have saved his life. there was this lady in her 70's that me and my brother visited everyday for a couple years a few months before me and my family moved away she passed away I was so sad she was like a grandma to me and her husband was like a grandpa to me. We would have visited more but covid prevented us from going over because my mom didn't want us getting them sick on accident.
