This brought me to tears. My sympathy to Lydia and Peter. I’m thankful Peter was able to recover. Such a loving family, trying to help someone….. who turned out to be a monster !

He was known to be depraved and dangerous...yet he was free to roam the streets. Blessings to the whole family. That judge would have passed a full sentence had it been her family slaughtered. These so called educated idiots sicken me.

He was a broken kid, and he was full of 💩. He would do or say anything for shock value & wanted off the street & would do whatever to get a decent prison sentence. Classic case of desperation, kind of feel sorry for everyone involved here.

Too bad capital punishment is not an option in the UK any longer because that is exactly what this evil POS deserves. These kind of criminals should never be released from prison, they have no place in a civilized society.
I am, though, truly shocked that she would find a bum on the street and bring him into the family home. There's kindness and wanting to help someone out, however, why in the world would anyone bring a total stranger into their home, not knowing a thing about them? Tracy's kindness and trust in this individual resulted in her murder and that of her young son, that's how he repaid her. Too tragic.

As a girl at university, away from my little brother, mum and dad, my heart shatters whenever I hear this story. I cannot ever imagine having this news broken to me. God bless Lydia and Peter x

It’s sad I’m not inviting any random strangers in my house. Heck I don’t even allow my on family in all the time let alone a stranger. It’s sad when you do the right thing by helping someone and get hurt in the process. Rip to the mother and son may they be in heaven with Jesus Christ.

I remember this happening, because I live in the West Midlands. This was just horrific, the mother was just trying to help someone and this is the thanks she gets. Just goes to show how evil he is. I hope he never gets out of prison.

People need to deal with the realities of life, sure we want to help people but the reality is people will only charge when they want to and theres nothing you can do to help. Sure you can do small kindness like buy them lunch or give them a job but uou have to be hard with them.

Far too lenient a sentence and this monster should never be given parole. I don’t believe anyone under present system who has murdered should be given parole, more especially when like in this extremely sad case 2 lives have been taken. Bring back the death sentence I say and monsters like this won’t be quite so eager to commit murder, which in this instance it appears it was just committed to get a roof over his head and he didn’t care for how long. 😤

I believe the reason he killed them is because he felt that they owed him more than they gave. Somewhere in that story he felt resentment toward the father who probably was the one who chose to kick him out in the first place. He probably felt that he shouldn't have been quote quote abandoned, or that he shouldn't have been out for any period whatsoever... that they should have just let him stay... When he had 2 weeks to be there he was obviously under the influence after that... And during.. Becoming unhinged because of the cycle that he created one that he refused to take responsibility for and instead put forth all the anger and responsibility or any type of blame on them. People who were trying to help him.

At the end of the day..Whether one agrees or not- Our minds are the CORE the ROOT to ALL we are. We depend on our parents, our environments and the experiences within those to create the perception we have of ourselves, others and the world as a whole.

There are plenty of studies that prove this. It is common knowledge. Yes. He is a monster. However, that monster was created by the people who brought him into this world and those who followed. Its easier to build up a child than to have any chance at a broken adult. Once a persons mind and body is linked to horrific catastrophic experiences..a shadow of what theyve endured is who they become. Yes. There are people who overcome. They cannot be compared to those who do not.

As adults we go through tragic experiences and are treated through professionals who deal with trauma.

From the point of birth to primitive years are those that mold us and give us a picture of what life is. Our place in it. Each year is one where our brains are enabled to gather and grasp x amount of information purposely.

One person's sadness is not anothers.

You have a boy whos raped, sexually assaulted, passed around and such. We are a product of our environment. He is just that. Of course he knew what he was doing?? Obviously. But his mind, the core of him and all that manages who he is to himself, others and so on- It wasnt shaped in the ways OURS was. Meaning- those of us who are not that way.

You don't have to have diminished responsibility to see that

Bro this is so sad. I know you want to help but honestly it would have been better (and safer) if you took them to a shelter with services than your home. You cant save everyone. This is heart wrenching
