My Favorite Vue Form Library

10-15 years ago server side validation was good. Now we have dozens of client side validation that can be circumvented by a basic script kiddy. Does vue support server side validation with data-annotations or is this another pipe dream library?

Vee-validate is super cool. And is my preferred method. For now, I'm using Nuxt UI

I am currently using vee-validate in combination with Yup on top of Vuetify field components to create a custom form generator. Although I am interested in trying FormKit, I am not sure if it will completely replace vee-validate.

I recently had to make some forms and I couldn't quickly figure out how to use Nuxt UI with FormKit. Ended up using Vee Validate through composition API. I definitely need to try again with FormKit when I have more time.

Used vee-validate in the past. It's not the cleanest way to do form validation but it got the job done. Let's see what Formkit brings to the table.

Great overview! Were using the pro version at work and its been pretty great.

The problem with this library is how this creates coupling between your UI components and the validation itself. Which means if there is a missing component or if you don't want to pay for their extra "pro" components, you are screwed. I prefer something a little more complicated to set up but ensure no future lock-in.
