DAW Control or Key Feel? Key feel! PADS are a bonus.

I am also speaking to midi keyboard manufacturers here. There are a lot of open source / free daw, why don't you mention their names? Do they have to be commercial? We pay money when we buy your products. What more do you want? Ardour and Lmms by the names.

Would you pick this one over Native Instruments M32 ? I am just starting out making my own music and are currently deciding between these two midis.

Why is the screen on my Axiom 25 mk2 much bigger and the midi implementation better ?

Hey there great video as usual! Wondering if you know how to set the output volume of the Oxygen Pro when just connecting it to another keyboard? I have it connected to a Yamaha CK stage piano and it works wonderfully, but the output is extremely loud when compared to the same voice when played with the CK

Hey Sanjay! I'm looking for a 49 or 61-key midi keyboard, and as a pianist, the keybed is really important to me. Out of Novation's, Arturia's, and M-Audio's, which keybed do you enjoy the key feel of the most? I'm looking for something optimally under $500. Thanks and great video as always. :)

I‘m thinking about buying a 61 key midi controller, do you recommend this one in the 61 key version? My eyes are on the AKAI MPK 261 even more, but it’s much more expensive. I just would like a very good 61 key controller and sell my 49 key Akai advance which is a really good one. I didn’t get the 61 version of it at that time anymore. The mpk 261 should be of same great quality.

You didn't mention the Aftertouch on keybeds.. It's there and important right?

Oxygen Pro Mini doesn't work with Reaper out of the box (I turned on Reaper in display of the midi keyboard). It was the only one reason I bought it instead of Novation Launchkey Mini.

There's one feature that I couldn't understand if the Oxygen Pro supports or not...
I know we can set up zones in this keyboard, however, is it possible to turn a zone on/off on-the-fly during live performance?
I think I saw in a video that a pad can be set to control the Zone on/off (in the configuration application), but I can't find this capability in the documentation at all.
Does anyone know?

This thing is GARBAGE. From the feel of the key bed to the buttons , worst of all the pitch wheel just gets stuck . Even the second gen mpk mini is better than this

I just upgraded from oxygen 49, to 49 pro. Excellent decision. M-Audio make amazing midi keyboards. I use Reason and it integrates well.

Does not having endless knobs hurt you when playing live or writing or what?

Does it make the next instrument blast loud or something before you reset it?

I agree, the keyboard is excellent on the 61/49 key versions! M-Audio had the best keys (to my taste) among all control keyboard brands, so far. I am tempted to upgrade to the 88-key Hammer Pro but have not been able to test it yet. Can anyone comment how close it is to a piano? For example is it comparable to a Juno DS88 keyboard or better?

Then I remembered how much I like my M audio oxygen25 and thought i wonder if M audio has a high end keyboard with aftertouch. which one is a minimal keyboard? this looks overwhelming, and I considering something with just keys, wheels, and octave/transpose selection, nothing disturbing.... ok, mayby daw start and stop .... can be comfy.

indeed you will be spending several minutes minutes setting up DAW and functions. Currently setting up my Oxygen MKV 49. What work it is.

Can you use the software that comes with M-Audio with Studio One or is it just for Pro Tools?

Oh boy; I feel I may have stepped in 'it'! All I wanted was a little keyboard, at my main computer, in the space I have, to play/practice some piano on.
Can you advise me as to how much all these different things are going to cost me? (ALL inclusive!!!!!)? Would I be better off to just save a little longer for a Korg Kross 61-key workstation?
There seems to an endless array of items to buy including:
The MIDI Keyboard
The DAW (The BIG $$$$$$ cost item, apparently)
Some mysterious "Red Box" that does something with the audio.
Virtual Instruments ( Thank God this controller series comes with some sort of an acoustic Piano voice!) What is the quality of that included Piano voice? (Alicia's Keys costs $99, but requires 6.9Gbytes of storage!)
Cables?
Other unknowns?

I do not the space nor the budget to fill an entire room with this stuff as you have done! Perhaps that Korg Kross I want is less expensive than all of this MIDI keyboard stuff? Please advise.
