When Johnny says V's real name in Phantom Liberty Ending

I could never pick this ending, as much of an asshole as he is, Johnny is V's friend, their brother in arms, he deserves better than to be excised like a tumor and V deserves a better ending than to lose their friends, everything they've gained and 2 years of the time they've got left.

does anyone know what is the exact trigger for this? Also is the Johnny montage here in game, or edited in? In my ending we pretty much fought, and he accused me of being selfish. In the end though, when V was blacking out she asked to be forgiven, and Johnny forgives V.

I didn't have the party with him, I only got Chippin In quest done, and watched a movie with Rogue before finishing PL storyline

My bitter corpo went from hating Johnny and wanting to excise him like a parasite to being eternally grateful for his friendship and counsel. Was a pretty emotional journey.

i felt female V's emotion so much better in this scene, regret not doing my 2.0 playthrough as a woman 😭

Honestly this ending was by far the bleakest. I was expecting the classic militech backed invasion of Arasaka tower but everything was bleak. Not even Yorinobu had a win

This hits harder when you did the Johnny's side missions and go for this ending. My headcanon is always be dont fear the reaper ending.

I dont like this new ending it broke me i still havent picked up the game after i did it i....i just want to ball up and cry it took away V's one thing they had the ability to fight and all you become is some face in the crowd i guess it answers deshawns questions blaze of glory or quiet life

i was already an emotional mess going into this ending, but Johnny saying V's real name FLOORED me. I had to walk away from the game and violently sob

Even though V will live his/her lifespan. I don't think she is still alive after waking up. She literally lost everything. Only people that are still concerned are Vik and Misty. The rest kinda moved on and left.

I think it’s kinda funny that a lot of people think this is the first time we heard V’s real name but the first time we hear it is from a Doll during Judy’s quest line

Somehow I missed this, and I just beat it today.

So glad i couldn't buy this on ps4 lol what a bunch of clown ceos completely screwing their fans like me who majority are like me got ps4 and cant play the dlc due to its only on ps5 so that was a spit in the face. Then you kill off the main awesome character that you COULD of had stayed alive for an actual new full game not a 1 hour dlc. Never giving anything to this company again money wise what a joke!!!

This ending was depressing as fuck. Not that I didn't like it, it honestly shook me to my core. Fantastc job by the writers the coma twist was a gut punch and everyone moving in without V just felt awful.

Nomad ending remains the closest to a "happy" ending for me. I'd rather my V dies six months later out under the stars, in Panam's arms, living free with the Aldecaldos, than have her just ghost V and never see him again.

The ending to the DLC sucks hard but hell that sentence was so worth it. Cam a long way from "Im gonna take your Body, IM GONNA KIL YOU" to "Good Night, Valerie. Today was a good day"

Could have done without the added noise makers, got all my own feels to fill in the gaps.
