Cool maker project or wasted potential?

The rack and pinion, my CNC is rack and pinion driven for the largest axis, it's a good way to make a printer have insanely good speed and torque for the size of its steppers. It was designed by cncrouterparts, now avidcnc and comes as a kit.

Just curious... is this cost effective with sub $200 printers on Amazon? Or is it more of a proof of concept?

I know they're using metal screws to hold everything togethet, but my Ender 3 V2 can print down to 3mm screws. What's stopping them from using printed fastners? Strength? Just design around it. 6mm printed bolts would likely be strong enough.

Mit steiferen Materialien (Kohlefaser verstärktes PETG, PA) und weiteren Iterationen ist das Projekt ja nie zuende und man kann selbst entscheiden, wie weit man dies treibt.
