Corrosion Control On Steam Boiler Wet Returns - Some Thoughts & Ideas

On the wet returns of a steam system, corrosion is gonna happen to the iron parts of the return, and must be dealt with and managed properly for a long lasting install.

I've taken a lot of these returns apart over the years and have formulated a fair chunk of anecdotal evidence of what not to do.

Don't connect steel threaded pipe to female copper adaptors below the water line.
