ОтветитьWhat do you think about JEPQ?
Ответить'Percent' not 'Pershent'
Ответитьdevil union!~
ОтветитьDone with global x YLDs, and cc etfs. They are div traps. Also done with all. Arks. Only 1 i got left is svol.
ОтветитьRQI and RNP has out performed VNQ. Cohen and steers does a great job on this.
ОтветитьIf you invest an a etf does it payout dividends from all the companies separately or does it pay them at the same time? Or is it a flat rate based on the etf itself? please tell me this is not the case😢
ОтветитьInvest in ZIVB, and you gonna sleep well.
ОтветитьTy ya.
ОтветитьExcellent video. I have one question. How does one come up with an assessment that the managers are not aligned with stockholders?
ОтветитьDividend investing is a VALUE TRAP!
ОтветитьJust waitingfor yieldmax ndvy and cony shareholders to comment.
ОтветитьMpw is also dangerous.
ОтветитьWhat I did last week before ex-div:
ONL @ 3.42x 400 and 3.245 x 200. Captured the $0.1 dividend= $60 towards re-investment
RC @ 9.17x 300 and 9.07 x 200. Captured the $0.3 dividend= $150 towards re-investment
Sold 400 ONL @ $3.52 a day after ex-div = $40 profit, 1368 of my investment back.
Sitting on RC as it is currently is $9.13, has taken 2 business days to recover from the typical Ex-div drop. Schwab shows I am up $0.43 on that position. Currently a GTC+EXT order to sell @ $9.40 x 300. If I am too busy to catch a crazy swing up, catch a $69 profit and get back 2751 of investment back.
I am not sitting on those REITs to make any drastic moves. The Fed met last week and kept rates the same so I don't figure there will be crazy share price moves until we get to middle May-early June when they are closer to going back into meetings and maybe start to drop rates against inflation. REIT share prices have been diving with inflation and, in many cases, running high on record low interest rates. Seeing as REITS get taxed as income, I don't see much benefit of holding them while I am building my portfolio and they are likely to drop more or stay close to the same when it comes time to revisit them for more dividends. I can take the invested money and put it towards the daily climb that will also be taxed as income and move more than a REIT likely will right now. I caught CGC @ $4 and popped in and out of it a couple time on it's way to $10 in the last 5 days. I scrapped $200 ish from it last week, I didn't have the brass balls to ride it all the way. SOUN on the other hand took $91 from me so you win some and hopefully lose less.
i was down on QQQY like -400 for 3 months.. but made $800 in dividends.. cant see the loss.can you?
ОтветитьFun story: In my 1st year, I bought MPW at $12 and NYCB at $9. Then MPW tanked, NYCB soared. I decided to sell both positions and I came out with a tiny profit. A few months later MPW tanked more, and NYCB tanked heavily. I was sitting there in cold sweat, thanking the DUMB LUCK that I had :)
I'm much more selective now - O, ADC, WPC, MAIN, and more. I will start adding heavily to a passive world ETF soon too.
Hi Jussi! Sorry to say so but this wasn't valuable content for me. Citing Buffet's famous quote "It's better to buy a GREAT COMPANY at a FAIR PRICE then to buy a a FAIR COMPANY at a GREAT PRICE." you probably forgot to fact check which of the two strategies has been more succesfull over the last couple years. I do that all the time owning shates of Tobias Carlyle's AQUIRER'S FUND ( a fairly straight Benjamin Graham approch aka "the cigar butt company concept") and Buffet's BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY. To nail it down in one sentence: " The Graham method has it's merits!"
Talking payout/dividends! A high yield doesn't have to be a bad thing but, as you mentioned, prices are "risk-adjusted"! That's why I think quite a few people would be better off with a simple credit option's strategy and collect the (high) intetest on the account balance. Six to nine percent from option premiums plus for to five percent on the collateral gets you an essy 10%+ yield. If you don't want to "DIY" you maybe want to consider Simplify's product line (SVOL, HIGH, ...)
🤘🍻🤘
ОтветитьCould have bought bitcoin.
ОтветитьI would watch you even if it was 1% 🧨🧨🧨🧨
ОтветитьVery good post:
It is important to highlight the risk that goes with investing in stocks. If the finfluencer-world was honest we would see more of those.
My view: dividend stocks are overrated. A company should privilege investing in growth and build its future. The investor benefits from its rising value. Earnings put into dividends are lost for the company.
soooo did you loose a lot of YOUR money or other peoples money?
ОтветитьThanks, Jussi, for the excellent content!
Could you please make a video about MLPs?
Good video, just starting out with reits. Should I sell IVF & VBK to buy individual reits?
ОтветитьPayout ratio should be calculated using free cash flow, not net income.
ОтветитьThanks, Jussi, for your thoughtful video presentation. (Perhaps a better title is "The Dangers of High-Yielding Dividend Investing".)
ОтветитьThanks,
So what's your TOP 3 of high but safest dividend yields?
I recall investing in a mortgage REIT years ago. High yield but I didn’t conduct a diligent review of the stock and dividend details before investing (I was new to investing at the time). Eventually, I realize that the dividend was steadily dropping but so, too, was the equity price, which maintained the apparent yield high. I felt so foolish. Here I was invested in a stock where I was losing on two fronts. The information was clearly at my disposal to review and consider but I failed to do this before investing. Live and learn. I won’t likely make the same mistake again. In fact, I decided that because I didn’t understand mortgage REITs, I had no business investing in them anymore. Thank you, Jussi.
ОтветитьHow much did you loose with MPW? 🙂
Ответитьsir i am a thumnail designer i saw your all videos but your thumnail are very simple please give me reply i can provide you some free trial as thumbnail designer

Love your accent per shhhhent 😊
ОтветитьThanks for this. I have a 401k that has limited investment option but an 8% match. It does allow me to move money I have paid taxes on over to a Roth IRA. This allows me to invest in what I want in my Roth IRA and use my company match in a 401k. I look forward to as always hearing your input on stuff I feel should be taught somewhat in schools.
ОтветитьAs always very insightful. Looking forward to more general investing tips also 😎
