'I'm not saying this is the best way "this is the best way"' 😂😂
ОтветитьThanks for sharing tips , impressions and preferences based on your experience, at the end is for people like me just 46 years old entusiastic as to take a shortcut to get great results since we dont have too many years to explore or excel our technic ! so thanks once again and keeping doing this interesting videos !
Ответитьmy best tip to record acoustic guitars is to play with feeling, it makes a TON of difference.
ОтветитьNice stuff, thanks, I do a lot of this already but haven’t tried the double reverse reverb thing, or whatever that’s called !!
Ответитьvery helpful want more tutorials 🙏
ОтветитьSo, like, he pans the neck and bridge tracks hard left and hard right, creating a spacious stereo image. He also applies reverb to add ambiance. A unique trick he shares involves sending the neck mic to the right speaker's reverb and the bridge mic to the left speaker's reverb, creating a surreal, larger-than-life effect. He uses a compressor and EQ on the reverb bus to control the overall sound.
Ответитьguitar sounds great really , any difference if recorded by Nylon strings?
Ответитьcould you please provide me with the valhalla reverb setting i didn't get it from the video , thanks in advance
Ответитьthe mics you have are over 700$ each, great tips but no one will ever get great sounds like this from 100 or 200$ amazon usb mics. Maybe somewhat close but yeah no. Great video and tips though!
ОтветитьFantastic video! I
ОтветитьI loved the final trick
ОтветитьThank you Paul🫂🇵🇭
ОтветитьSeriously awesome tips. I’ve never tried soloing the part of the EQ that I’m working with, so I’m excited to try that! I also love that you use an EQ on the final output for those end-of-the-line tweaks after all the effects. I can’t wait to try these out.
ОтветитьI tend to go too fast. As a result, the microphones are not where they should be. That’s a big lesson learned from this video. Thank you!
ОтветитьSounds so nice
ОтветитьThis is one of THE most useful recording tutorials I've found, and I've been trawling the web for weeks! THANK YOU!! I feel like I finally actually know how to record something now. Awesome sound!
ОтветитьThank You very much 🌟
ОтветитьWhich Guitar string u suggested for Tanglewood winterleaf series TW4EVC ,,,Love from INDIA,,,,
ОтветитьNeat sound, but no longer a natural sounding acoustic guitar - it sounds processed, and I like guitar to sound natural and not all processed like a Windham Hill Album from the 1980s. Just my take. You may like how this comes out - but to ME it is not a natural sound. Spend $5000 on a guitar ... sure. Then process it so it sounds altogether different ... no for me. Thanks for the nicely done tutorial. JT
ОтветитьHow do you stay on tempo when recording?
ОтветитьI’ve been searching for a tutorial like this for almost a year I think. I really respect the fact that you emphasize that people don’t need to have your exact same gear and tools or spend a ton of money to get good results. Thank you!
ОтветитьThe sound is amazing!
ОтветитьDoes anybody know of an EQ like this for ableton live lite? It looks like the "EQ eight" is only with the standard edition of ableton.
ОтветитьHi Paul, would you like to share the DAW file (Ableton) here . I understand improving the quality with an EQ and compression adjusted separate for the two channels. However the end with using a two return tracks reverb and sending wet/dry to different channels is bit confusing, to be honest, flabergasted.
ОтветитьLove your jacket! Where’s it from?
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you
ОтветитьI watch your videos all the time and somehow I never subscribed, I fixed that though. You have excellent videos man, thank you for putting these out.
ОтветитьWhat a great idea. I will try it!
ОтветитьThis guy can definitely beat the devil out of any guitar.
ОтветитьI love that guitar. Pricey, though.
ОтветитьThis sounds awesome. Thanks for the tips man.
ОтветитьYou mention in the video you can use the pickup of the guitar and a mic. I have a Taylor with the pickup sounding pretty natural, but a touch thin. If using a mic and the pickup, would you point the mic at the bridge to add some fullness?
ОтветитьWhat are those headphones? I want them.
Ответитьcheers me dears!
ОтветитьNeeded it
Ответитьsub'd
Ответить$1500 for bridge and neck mics. . . . . ouch. I get it though . . . you have millions of followers.
ОтветитьThis man is too good to be true. Absolute perfectionist. Always all the best gear. Should’ve known he’d pull out a Neumann microphone! Everything colour coordinated with orange and yellow….The guitars, the lighting and even the tracks on his DAW. Then I realised I do similar things! My monitor, interface and keyboard all have red on them to match my front room. My guitars match my rug lol! This was just by chance but it pleases me 😊.
ОтветитьI use an acoustic plug in that goes through my pedals “plus” a microphone. Stereo and I can adjust the live sound I like 🎸🎶🎶
ОтветитьWhen I send the neck (left) to the return track that's panned to the Right i only get any sound in the return track if I set the Toggle from 'Post' to 'Pre' in it. I noticed he doesn't do that and I wonder why the hell I have to take the pre-knob signal instead. I'm using Ableton 11, maybe they changed the behaviour?
ОтветитьThis is one of the most helpful videos you've posted. All your videos are excellent, but I find myself revisiting this one frequently to help improve my own recordings. Thank you.
Ответить"you don't need expensive guitars or mics", i mean sound devices, neumann & earthworks?
ОтветитьJust awesome!
ОтветитьThis video is soo good thank you so much. I wish there was a final before and after comparison though
ОтветитьVery interesting video. Do you have one for recording and mixing guitars within a band?
Ответить
