What’s the best unit someone can get for under $2k? Budget is tight and want to get a low emf, low voc full spectrum but haven’t found one that fits into those specs budget friendly. I’m almost to the point where any sauna is better than no sauna…

Hey Matt love your expertise in sauna, I ordered 3 years ago the radiant health 2 person and it’s great ! Just curious where do you get the back lounge support to add? I hope the new year finds you well 😊

I don’t like the glass front saunas. They look good but you can feel the cold on that side.

Hi Matt, in the video you said the radiant health 2.5 would be a good choice for a garage setting. Would you say the same for an E2h? Thanks!

I'm looking for a budget IR sauna that I can place in my basement... I love trad. sauna but no access or pockets deep enough to buy... something sub 2K would be ideal... what say you??

Hey there Matt, would love your opinion. Can i install a vevor sauna heater (probably their lowest / smallest version which is 3KW 220v inside my infrared sauna and use that heating element as opposed to the infrared? (something about the infrared doesn't make me feel right and i've used traditional saunas for 15 years with no issue). I kind of preferring to just leave the infrared unit unplugged and turn on the vevor heater which i'm guessing based on the smaller size of the unit, should heat up the box very quickly? I would probably need to drill a hole in the frame for the power cord to reach outside, which I would properly insulate. Do you foresee any issues that I'm probably missing? I have a Dynamic Infrared Barcelona Model (single person) Would love your expertise with this idea (i know there's someone else who uses a patio heater but figured an actual sauna heater unit (small) might be better and faster to heat up?

Hey Matt, I just confirmed what you said about the Costco sauna. I have one from 2016 and I just tested the EMF levels and got the same results…super man, disappointed, all of the above that I never knew and used for years. Costco is actually returning it and giving me a refund due to this. They now have Dynamic Saunas on their site that state “Low EMF”. Is this still not true? I was going to buy the new ones that have that in the description because they are still the least expensive but if not, I’m going with Radiant Health E-2H

hey Matt! Love these videos. I spoke with Radiant Health and my original plan was to have the sauna be in the garage. They said, the surroundings need to be ambient temp of +65F. My garage is not insulated and likely gets down to the 40Fs/50Fs in the winter. You mentioned the 2.5 works in garage running on 20amps. Have you tried these in colder ambient rooms?

Thank you for the reply Matt. One other questions ... Have you had any experience with Finnleos Hallmark InfraSauna IS440? It's a 2 in 1 combination unit with both infrared and traditional applications? My wift and I are split between which type we would like to go with and wondering if this could be the solution.

Thanks for all your great videos
I am trying to sort through the many different saunas to determine which is best with safety being my primary criteria and then performance and getting the fastest and best heat for health benefits second and pricing next.
So far in order of what I believe are the best from my research are
The 2 person High Tech Health sauna
The 2 person Premiere IS II Clearlight sauna
The 2 person Radiant Health sauna

The Clearlight with the dual carbon and ceramic heater seems best in that it seems to be the only company with a dual heating approach of both carbon and ceramic heating but per the below, High Tech is claiming that the carbon heaters do not produce safe electric fields. Also they have said that the Near infrared is also bad and doesn’t provide any health benefits so I am proceeding to ignore the full spectrum models based on that.

I spoke to High Tech saunas and they told me that their radiant heat is better and healthier than the carbon fiber heaters which are ok on EMF's but omit dangerous electrical fields. They claim the electrical fields are 2,800 times higher than theirs and most carbon heating manufacturer’s typically either omit this testing or publish it one meter away from the heater surfaces.

They also claim both their radiant type heaters and others carbon fiber heaters produce the same infrared heat in the form of the same light waves and that it’s the light waves that penetrate the body and since theirs are much more intense than the lower heat carbon heater (which also lose energy out the backside of the heater) that the hotter higher intensity heat is better at penetrating into and being absorbed into the body so its a much better heater.

They say the hotter higher intensity heat source although some may be further away from you than the carbon heaters that cover a lot more of the sauna are still more beneficial than the carbon heater once again to their lower heat output. They also say that their heaters heat up much faster than the carbon ones.

They also state that the combination carbon ceramic heaters are really just carbon fibers heaters with some ceramic threading in them so it doesn’t solve the carbon heater issue of producing dangerous electric fields

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Steve

Building a new home and building in a dedicated sauna. It will be either 6x7 or 10x7. What do you recommend for that considering these are more standalone units.

Hi Matt! Very much appreciate your honest feedback and content. Do you plan on reviewing the new sauna from Plunge? With a dry sauna like that … are you able to put in a very small room? Or could it cause moisture/mold issues long term?
