I usually just drill them out. Regular drill bits work fine for aluminum rivets but I use cobalt ones for steel or stainless rivets.
ОтветитьI subscribe to the extreme force philosophy. I Use drills, hammers, chisels, TnT or tanerite. It usually results in a 100% loss of materials but it gets the rivets out.
ОтветитьThose are good tips, thanks!
ОтветитьI did not expect a rivet removal video to be so detailed. Thanks for showing the variety of ways that things can go wrong. I thought it was me but apparently these are common errors.
ОтветитьThank you Yonatan24
ОтветитьJust bought myself a power drill hope that works!
ОтветитьFlush-cutting snips or a chisel sound like the best ways of getting rid of the rivets in a PC case, for example if you want to alter the drive bay to stuff in a 3-fan GPU. No need to remove everything to avoid metallic dust, as opposed to rotary tools.
ОтветитьSnips are PERFECT! for removing unused, space-wasting stuff riveted into my computer case. THANK you!
ОтветитьWhat about an oscillating saw? Curious cuz I'm working on a bus & need to remove rivets
Ответитьthanks..
ОтветитьLooks like most of the rivets you are removing are aluminum. I have to deal with (looks like hardened) steel rivets!!!!!
Ответитьgood 👍
