idk pre respeccing I could pull 4-7 mobs and easily tank them with my pet and kill them with explosive trap and volleys. After respeccing I feel my pet almost dies at 4 mobs and I dont see myself doing much more damage. Will this get better with more talents into marksman?

Before lvl 44 (when you get thunderstomp) a carrion bird is probably better than bear.
It's aoe does about the same damage, has an attack power reduction debuff with it, and goes all around the pet. Swipe is a cleave effect in front of the pet.
It does however not have blood of the rhino...
Bloodthirsty with cobra reflexes should be good enough to compensate.

Bear over wolves confuses me for levelling. Wolves get so much more from attack speed talent early on and are decidedly easier to come across. Bears seem worse and harder to acquire.

BM / pet bear is the best combination to level up to safe mode.

But if you are an expert hunter, you can use a wolf to maximize the damage.

I despite being a fairly experienced hunter, I use a wolf from 1-59, but between levels 60-70-80 I use a bear.

I'm not saying do it like me, I'm just sharing my way of leveling.

I'm at lvl 30 hunter BM with a toothsabre with stealth from Teldrassil. I thought it would be cool to have a stealth macro with shadowmeld + pet stealth, but it's kinda underwhelming in pvp, and in pve it doesn't tank so well for me. I got a wolf mastiff from Duskwood recently but I'm not a fan of the looks or playstyle with damage buff, you definitely made me rethink about getting a bear!.
Say I had an idea for a new way of leveling that would fit my playstyle best, but the thing is no one compiled the data into digestable content to easily understand how to make it work efficiently, but I tihnk it would make a great video. How to level without questing or dungeons or pvp, but only through farming skinning. By picking letherworking with it it would become pretty easy to have giant bags for leather, and you oculd pick up a ton of mats by the time you reach max level, only getting xp by killing mobs you then skin.. The thing is to find an efficient route for it without battlign everyone for the same 3 boars of the region until you gain 10 levels lol. I was thinking by rerouting from skinning leveling guides you could make one that accounts for character xp from level 1 to 80 only killing mobs and skinning them and leveling LW alongside? as a hunter obv. I can't believed I mained Skinning+LW on my rogue for so many years, hunter is miles ahead for those professions lol.

Survival in wrath doesn't have the best aoe for trash. It doesn't get any actual aoe talents, and marks gets improve talents for multi and barrage

Level 60 hunter here. Didn’t play TBC classic, took a break. Now I’m back. Got some questions.

Do we ever use Serpent Sting while leveling? Is it just for bosses/elites?

What about Multishot? Are we still using that on single enemies?

Is the leveling rotation truly just spamming Steady Shot?

Do cat pets have any AoE/Cleave? I have one on my hunter from Classic Vanilla that I’m very attached to

What I missed from this guide and tbh most guides is that they dont talk about completely new players. I started leveling wotlk for the first time, kinda have no clue what skills to learn because I dont have enough gold to level them, what spec to start with getting talent point. And even where to find the first pets when starting out. Otherwise I guess this guide is for people who are already level 70 from TBC.

Do you still have to go around and tame multiple beasts to learn upgrade pet spells?

The mana issues in MM spec are brutal atm, especially with the pace of heroics in pre patch. Really struggling to enjoy it
