How do you get a Company Tea Machine?

i understand this argument, but if the company tea is the only reason why the perk is deemed bad then I cant agree. I need more than one reason (it being an item) of why a perk like that is bad now. That perk is very useful especially for accuracy builds but just because an item comes out that boosts your AP doesnt mean u should js throw it away, but idk what do you think

Company tea and Action boy/girl stack. Copmany tea gets the extra buff with Herbavore. Foods with the same buff over-write each other. Im not sure why your side by side comparison is showing a slight gap in difference as I notice a heavy drop of AP when AB is taken out of my deck.

i agree, with company tea (base) or even with herby added and nerd rage alone u can forgo action boy saving 3 perk points that can go to something else that is needed (aka: not wasting it on more ap regen that u wont notice).

I'm addicted to AP! Would feel naked without my Action Boy!

You also get ap regen from the well tuned buff from playing music instruments

Horseshit. It's only unnecessary if you're low health and have a ton of agility or you're a herbivore with company tea. As a carnivore, it's essential, along with the lesser buff I get from company tea.

How about full health builds? Not everyone runs around bloodied with the nerd rage perk activated..

Don't forget about the "dodgy" perk card... I use kinetic dynamo on my T-65, so I gain AP from the damage I take, and the damage I take is reduced by 30% 24/7 because of kinetic dynamo keeping my AP high enough to always be active... So I can just stand still, with my full over eaters sent T-65 I've spent the past 4 years rolling... And just constantly have a 60% total damage reduction just for existing, and a 75% chance to reduce 75% more damage while standing still. I stood still in the enclave server room for 1h 16m tanking everything until my torso broke and my AP stopped refreshing. I need AP...

If using unyielding armor I find action boy kind of useless.. in low agility builds it is still needed even with company tea.. a good coffee spam solves any AP issue you could have tho..

Im always using AP so I need action boy just to get that AP refresh to proc and refill a shit ton of AP in a couple frames of resting/not using AP, for my VATS heavy gunner build. Still an ok comparision showing that u dont NEED action boy but I think that was already obvious if you even make the effort to get a full AP refresh armor set 👍

Its always better to have Action Boy on if you can is what im saying. Also you can stack the Well Tuned effect for more AP refresh + certain meats like cooked Angler and certain squirrel bit recipes for Agility which translates to +10AP per Agility point. You can have 2 of those meats stacked on top so a boost of 100-130 AP. Also drinking Wine with max Party Boy gives +45 AP. The Punching Bag machine gives +2 Agility (20AP) for 30 mins.

If you are a heavy using vats you 100% need AB on top of food buffs and mutations. Sure there are other item/drug buffs for short bursts, but that can get expensive and isn't sustainable for knocking out dailies or farming, and they still stack with AB making those burst even more effective in boss fights. AB is king for vats. (add to that faster regen for sprinting and jet-packs, which is a huge quality of life bonus)

I get your point but wowzers sounds like a chore maintaining all that just for a slightly better AP regen boost over Action boy/girl perk...so I need tea that is a pain to craft or the better route needing bullion to spend to get a brewing machine ontop of screwing myself out of any effects of anything meat like canned meat stew (xp boost) or pemmican (+3 to endurance)to make this function properly...I'm using cola nut and nuka orange since my gold collectatron (got from a scoreboard reward) is set on nuka cola whats cool is when its set this way it gathers only gold ore and cola. Been doing this for like 2 years, Ive noticed orange seems to be more common cola than nuka cola itself in the collectatron. Im not even maining a vats build i do have all the stuff for one I just run cola nut as a filler when in power armor switched out for ironclad outside of power armor unless running vats is needed. Forgot to add on the fact its a massive healing item and AP points automatically refill rather than regen over a time. Im not crapping on ya man but it really just sounds like a unnecessary chore that screws ya out of many other things just for AP regen.

I haven't been following the patch notes, but I feel like a bunch of stuff has been nerfed. It's been a couple weeks since I played, but last night, I was dying from stuff that normally doesn't kill me and I was doing almost no damage. I play a bloodied build and have a bloodied railway rifle that can do around 300 damage when my health is around 50%. Last night, it was only doing around 45 damage when my health was at 20% and almost half my shots missed. I straight rage-quit after an hour or so of that. I felt like my character was using a damn BB gun and wearing no armor.

Yeah perks useless when you know what your doing/higher and with legendary crafting even more useless ,company tea machine exists and is just better I haven’t used AB/AG for a long time also have AP refresh on all my armor parts as well so yeah 25% there and with the company tea machine AG is not with it

This is an unfinished video. Stuff I'd expect to see to truly make your case is what the difference is between no buffs, action boy only, company tea only, everything including action boy and everything minus action boy.

Just showing company tea kind of in the ballpark as action boy doesn't really say anything other than if you HAVE the machine, remember to keep the buff going AND need the perk points, you have an option. That's all I got from the video.

Action boy is good if you're a power armor build and don't have enough legendary perk card slots to invest in power sprinter. Even if you do it's still really nice to have.

Commando with herbivore is not the only way to play the game mate. If u play melee with carnivore you need action boy bc using dodgy burns ur ap and using a auto melee also burns through ur ap

Do the tenderizer perk next. Is it needed on builds that one shot most enemies ?

Why not both ?

You can clearly see AP regen noticable faster with Action Boy. My build has 500 AP and it's a big different even with company tea. I almost only use VATS and together with Dodgy sometimes the regen can't even keep up. Never taking Action Boy off.

I found several AP regen calculators and they all show same numbers so I guess the formula is accurate. In these calculators, with all optimal buffs (x5 powered, herbivore, nerd rage hydrated, strength in number and company tea) Action Boy brough the AP regen time from 1.19s to 0.92s. Without being hydrated which happens more often than I would like to it's from 1.55s to 1.12s. Without powered effects the gap is even bigger. Action Boy is worth having.

buffs such as tea(food), armor, and magazines are additional to the player's base 6% while Multiplicative are the perks Rejuvenated, Nerd Rage, Lone Wanderer, Action Person, and Well Tuned buff
therefore it is better to have a bit of both categories, putting together a lot of just one yields less and less in comparison to before (to give an example Rejuvenated is so strong with 45% buff that it is almost enough on its own but yes you still see a good difference by adding another buff but from then on the difference is seen less and less)

my conclusion is to decide which set of buffs you prefer to have for each category (additive and multiplicative)

in my case I prefer to use tea which does the bulk of the work with Herbivore (almost like a whole set of armor) with maybe a piece of armor and Rejuvenated with Nerd Rage (and maybe Action Person because I'm not always in the nerd rage zone and works 24/7 with a high buff)

Canned coffee makes every source of AP refresh obselete ☕

Good doggy is pretty good since it works with carnivore and gives HP to rival a stim pack. If you have the weenie wagon it’s a good source of HP.

my goal is to go with +2 strength on all my gear instead of powered as i want more carry weight, im also carnivore so im keeping action boy :)
