ОтветитьI own a classic '86 vespa PX. Let me tell you, scooter this old, you would be surprised that I NEVER worried about spare parts. Parts are so easy to get!. Compare other 80s scooter, spare parts are too rare, makes demand so low, they mostly succumbed to extinction.

ОтветитьVESPAS ARE CRAP I HAD TWO OF THEM AND NEETHER OF THEM WOULD GO IN A STRATE LINE THE FIRST ONE EP 150 4 2002 WOULD NOT GO IN A STRATE LINE IT HAD LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON IT AND THE ENGEN SEEZED UP AND THE COOLING FAN BROK OFF THE SCOOTER WAS FRIED AND NEVER WORKED AGAIN THE SCOOTER WAS UNDER WARETY AND VESPA TOLD ME TO GET A LAWYER THEY WOULD NOT ONNER THE WARENTY I BABYED IT AND IT FRIED MY SECEND ONE 2004 200 L GRAND TRISMO WOULD NOT GO IN A STRATE LINE EATHER AND THE CARB FELL OFF WILE I WAS RIDING IT AND IT WAS HANGING FROM THE TROTTEL CABLE AND I ALL MOST CRASHED THE HANDEL BARS CEPT MOVING AND WERE NEVER STRATE EVERY TIME THEY PUT THEM STRATE LATER WHEN I RODE IT THEY WOULD MOVE AND BE CROOKED ALL WAYS IT CAUST 6000$ AND IT WAS SUCH CRAP THAT WHEN I SOLDIT I ONLY GOT 500$ FORE IT AND THE GUY WHO BOT IT CRASHED THE FIRST TIME HE RODE IT IT WAS DESTROID HE WAS HURT ALL BECAUS IT WOULD NOT GO IN A IN A SRATE LINE PROPERLY IT WAS DANGERIS IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BIN ALODED TO BE SOLD IN USA VESPA SUCKS THEY ARE SHIT DONT BUY ONE YOU WILL REGRET IT PHUCK vespa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ОтветитьI'll say this how my friend Marco says it, if you own a Vespa, Moto Guzi, Aprilia, or Piaggio, you own a Piaggio. My very good Italian friend is something of an authority, and I think he said it best, "if it's Piaggio it's Piaggio, and without Piaggio it's not a Vespa." We try very hard to differentiate other Piaggio products from Vespa, but the liberty 150 (for sake of example) literally shares the same engine as the sprint and primavera. When you register the liberty 150 it literally creates a discrepancy in the system, because it often registers as a Vespa in the system. We need to stop the scooter snobbery.

A gy6 150cc scooter from China. Mid range. $1800. Is a 400% increase to $7200 Vespa price
Vespa build a top of the line quality product however their dealer network in the US is the exact opposite end of the spectrum. The start with it may be 500 to a 1,000 miles away and some shops that deal primarily with Asian 2 wheelers will not service them. Worse one may find shop that will but has not the knowledge or the proper equipment to service them properly. If you have a Vespa dealer down the street them you are lucky .... elsewise avoid them like the plague.

ОтветитьIn India Vespa price is definitely justified . My Vespa is 10 years old and has over 300,000 . It still runs good and is better than activa , access or anything else
ОтветитьYou along with many others caused me to go take a test ride and I was sold within 1 block 1 turn and 1 speed bump. Took the 2022 demo back and bought a new white 2023 GTS SS Loving this new ride and my Honda Forza 300 is reluctantly for sale as it is a great bike too but just not of the same level as Vespa..

ОтветитьAll Vespas stand out from the rest. The metal body which is also the chassis makes it a different experience altogether from any other scooter. The brand represents quality, style, freedom and good taste while all other scooter brands such as Honda, Yamaha represents a deliveroo rider.

ОтветитьIn my opinion, I'd much rather have a used Vespa than a newer alternative. I especially like P-series Vespas. They were some of the best scooters ever made. They are so easy to work on yourself and are super reliable.

ОтветитьMy personal experience buying a primavera 2020 125cc after having an et4 125cc.
Piaggio doesn't make things well like the old days.
After 2 years my primavera had multiple rust spots underneath and under foot rest and battery compartment.
Protection againt rust is very vrey poor in new generation vespas.
Yes overpriced and not happy with rust issues.
Genuine scooter co is best that includes their Chicago scooter co brand that cost around 1500 brand new

ОтветитьBeen working on a Piaggio Liberty , rather neglected but what stands out about the non Chinese scooters, is the massive improvement in quality of the parts, scooter body panels are something that often require replacement, Chinese panels are almost impossible to repair and are expensive, Piaggio are expensive as well but can be repaired, and the quality of parts ,engine ,switches etc, are much better . There are good Far Eastern bikes coming onto the market, i've just sold my Peugeot Tweet, silly name out of the way one of the best ive owned , It's actually built by SYN, Taiwanese company, so, if you want a cheap cheerful but short lived bike, go Chinese, quality build long lasted , European named will last you.
