Colorado weather is wild, one day it can be below 20 snow blowing sideways next day it's sunny and 50 however it can vary mostly due to the area your in.
You can literally drive into snow storms.

Colorado is not in the top ten coldest states, but it’s in the top five snowiest states in the country. There are roughly around other 14 states that are much colder. Colorado is actually very mild comparing to its neighbor up North, upper Midwest, and New England. Fort Collins’ December and January haven’t been really cold lately, and February seems to be the coldest month (but it’s still not even that bad). So many people talk about winter of Colorado being cold, but we need to talk about how unbearably hot Colorado is during the summer as well (especially Denver area)!
