I'd recommend the Nicaraguan dwarf Boa. Boa attitude requiring a much smaller habitat . Foods cheaper too.
ОтветитьClint, I will NEVER get tired of hearing you talk about Emerald Tree Skinks.
ОтветитьI once got to pety a baby skunk. Touch is amazing. Those baby skunks are so soft and floofy it was unbearably cute.
ОтветитьI know this is an old video. But I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated you talking about the power of touch. I'm blind, and currently still considering my first reptile purchase. But you almost always just hear people talk about watching reptiles, and the physical contact is often mentioned later. But it does create such a powerful connection. You verbalized that beautifully, and I felt like it really legitimized the way I interact with all my animals. Hope to get down to Utah to visit the room someday.
ОтветитьI'm partial to a corn snake myself. I own 3. I've had my old boy around 5 & 6 yo's necks & taken him into old folks' homes. I always trusted him completely, he's just so chilled. I don't work for that company anymore & even if i did, he'd probably be retired now due to his age, he's about 16 now.
ОтветитьViper Boa video ?
ОтветитьThat ball python looked so big on your daughter's shoulders 😭 I'm dying from cuteness
ОтветитьI used to be scared of snakes. I got bit by two rat snakes when I came up on them without seeing them. But they only bit once. Then a squirrel got caught in my fence. She was a little to portly to get through the fence. After that, I would rather move a non venomous snake out of danger (even the feisty banded water snake) than try to save a squirrel from the fence. A snake will usually calm down once it realizes you aren’t trying to hurt it. A squirrel is going to continue to spaz out and try to bite.
ОтветитьMy personal “gateway snake” was a judgmental shoelace.
😂❤
I would be interested in a video on how to handle snakes.
ОтветитьI wondered if you would do an insect husbandry for those of us who are raising bugs for our buddies. I raise roaches and super worms. I would like to raise crickets, but I have horrible luck keeping them alive. I only keep what my helmeted chameleon can eat in a week.
Ответитьwhy didn't you put the corn snake on there? Really curious. thanks 😁
ОтветитьIf I ever adopt another lizard it might be an emerald tree skink; they're just SO cute.❤
ОтветитьSo… what you’re saying is that common boas are good for deep pressure therapy
ОтветитьI wish there was a breed of common boa that only grew to be about 4ft long. That would be perfect.
ОтветитьSeeing buttercup made me apreciate my cat named Bendy more.i can open his mouths with my hands and he doesn't care and just purrs
ОтветитьIn high school I got to touch a rattlesnake. I cannot think of a more boring snake than a Kenyan sand boa (owned them in the past). Adore Gus Gus! Ball pythons are pet rocks, lol. Yes, I love my common boa constrictor. Definitely my male anaconda morph hognose Aspen, my fav snake ever.
ОтветитьI'd add the Solomon Island Ground Boa. Pretty much the same size and temperament as a Ball Python, but not head shy at all. So no jerky movements that can startle someone.
Ответитьcorn snakes are pretty easy to handle.
ОтветитьThat’s such a chill ball python. The one I interacted with in the past would strike at people.
Ответитьi would have added any of the antaresia but mainly the spotted and childerens pythons
ОтветитьOf course a tiny noodle would be named Sarlac 😆🤣👏👍 that's amazing!
Ответитьim honestly suprised the tegu isnt on this list...talk about a huggable lizard
ОтветитьHow big do the BI or common boas get?
ОтветитьThree animals I would love to touch one is a wolf and the other is a silver back gorilla and an orangutang.
ОтветитьThat all white ball python is absolutely stunning, as was that Cobra.
ОтветитьIt was Eastern indigos for me that I absolutely fell in love with, and was lucky enough to go on to work very closely with
Ответитьmy roomate used to have a common boa, bigass snake it was about 6 feet give or take, definitely longer than me, she was a beast just being in her presence u can hear, see, and feel every breath she took and the feeding response man! her eyes would dilate to the point they were pitch black all the way around. She was very intimidating to be quite frank, but i also came to trust her quite a lot, my roomate would hand feed her live rats and she always seemed especially careful about her aim, incredible experience just watching her feed too, constricting around them, pulling them up onto her perch/bar that she hangs on
ОтветитьMartha said gimme that snek 😂
ОтветитьMy bearded dragon never liked to be handled or to just hang out
She always had to be out and about and explore and was very wiggly when I picked her up
...now I want to go to Utah
ОтветитьWish I was closer to ur location I want to get a snake again that will be in between 6-10' feet I showed my wife the bci she said no to big we have little kids
ОтветитьThe snake is probably like what are you talkin about my goofy little eyes 👀🤣
ОтветитьAnyone know know what morph, or locale that common boa is? She’s pretty dark and I’d love to know exactly what she is!
ОтветитьGreat list! I remember catching and releasing sonoran gopher snakes in my backyard. Even wild ones are pretty fun to handle. They never tried to bite me surprisingly. As for sand boas, i love them and all.... BUT.... when working at a reptile shop there was one who used to nab my hand virtually every time id try to change his water lol. He was fine when he was out, but had a SOLID feeding response when in his cage lol. I would know it was coming and still somehow not be able to avoid it unless i "raked him out" 1st. I could never tell exactly where he was until it was too late lol. He would just pop up out of nowhere lol. Luckily it didnt hurt at all. It was more humorous than anything. I'll bet he never skipped a meal for whoever bought him lol.
ОтветитьWhat a great intro to the video
ОтветитьI remember back in Elementary school getting to handle a Burmese Python when the reptile guy came round, was really heavy. I think getting a little snake will be easier to care for 555555555
ОтветитьMy bearded dragon, Phoenix, is 11 months old, so he's a teenager. He will sit there calmly for a couple of minutes before zooming off! Hopefully he'll chill out a little as he gets older 😂
ОтветитьI am so sad I live so far away!!!!!!! I want to come there so much!
ОтветитьMy BCI has converted many snake haters into huge fans!!!
ОтветитьDid you match your tie to the sand boa??? ❤😂❤
ОтветитьPink tongue skink????
ОтветитьAnimals are living art. That Bearded Dragon is beautiful.
ОтветитьBlack Mamba
ОтветитьMy seventh grade science teacher had a ball python in his classroom. Between that and these videos, I’m get more and more interested in having a ball python.
ОтветитьWhat is emerald tree skinks motivation to jump on people? Is it their warmth? Because they bring food? Just curiousness?
ОтветитьAfter watching your videos to an almost religious level, I finally convinced my family to allow a ball python into the house. Long story short my mother, who was afraid of them, now loves the little noodle! He's my best friend and the sweetest Reptile I have!
This is why I recommend this channel to costumers who visit my store.
I'm amazed how mellow buttercup is, I live in bull snake country and see them all the time, they are usually known for their bad attitude if you happen across one while it's basking, they can also mimic the sound of a rattlesnake, and their coloration is fairly similar to the Prairie Rattler which they share habitat with (but they do not assume the rattlesnake strike posture).
ОтветитьCan confirm about the ball python! He is the most relaxing and overall the best pet I’ve ever had!
ОтветитьNah them tree skinks are plotting take over😭
