I guess talking a lot and changing the subject frequently. No one really points it out that way because it sounds negative. I once met a little old man that after we talked for a while, he says almost to himself, "I love women that talk a lot, so much."

I guess eating or playing video games. That got me a bit obsessed about this guy. He loves how I eat. He hates that I play video games. It's polarized. He reacts to see me always look feminine, so I wear more make up and red or blue clothing. I even avoid pink clothing with him for no real reason just that he doesn't respond to it in either way. He reacts a lot to me, come to think of it. He even likes repeating a joke saying that I'm going to give him money or something. This time, he got no attention from anyone about this, so I just laughed at how he didn't get anyone to play into it this time.

This reminds me of how Wil Wheaton went to a party and said he was going to marry Anne Wheaton because he saw her dressed in jeans and wearing a cap.

my true self is a hippy girl..glammed up. nails done...make up done..flowers in my hair...wear a flower headband...tye dye dress...dressy summer sandles. I dress like that when I go to church. it's the real me...I am hoping that a man will see the real me and go WOW...she is so pretty I need to get her #..

My husband says I am a people pleaser. I think I have been afraid to even figure out who I am. I know I have not done certain things because I was embarrassed...

Exactly. I relate with this 😅. I've met an American guy in a dating site and we communicate through WhatsApp and I told him that I want to be accepted and loved with for who am I and what I am. I told him that I want to show my true self not pretending into someone whom it wasn't the real me.

That's all well and good if your true self is creative, quirky and cute with plenty of free time for art projects like Rachel's. What if your true self is really boring? Nothing scary, nothing exciting, nothing interesting. I think a lot of single women are just struggling to survive which leaves us very little energy for hobbies or expressing our innate "personalities". When I'm not working to earn my paycheck that buys the food, I am just tired. I can barely eat dinner, do laundry and squeeze in some sleep before I have to go do it all over again. I think economics play a bigger role than anyone is willing to acknowledge in whether or not relationships are possible.

Online you can tell which guys are just playing around by how neutral they are about what they want--they're afraid to offend anyone because they'll take anything. They only want short-term and easy.
