Just a little comment: for me it's been easier to understand this video by watching on first place the DNS ZONES video. It makes you understand why it starts asking from the right most domain (.com)

I don't understand why we need dot root server? in this case why ISP recursive request directly go to .com DNS sever. What is benefit of dot root server when it doesn't know anything

thx, saved me a bunch of time. I was just curious why my host game me the option to set my own nameservers, and the more i dug into it, the more confused i got.
