Lady and the Tramp: Disney's Most Romantic Movie

I- love this movie so much. I love how their relationship develops and their personalities. In general the movie itself is great.

This was one of my favorite films growing up as a kid. Now as an adult, my jaw drops at the kind of things perceived as socially acceptable at the time this film was made, and that they all slipped through my child brain.

Kinda funny how the baby is born during the course of the movie, but Lady's "mom" maintains a perfect hourglass figure in every scene.

While "Lady and the Tramp" was for a long time considered as Disney most romantic movies, I think it loose the title to 90's movies. Sure the romance is realistic, but to me it does not look as wonderful as those that happened 40 years later. Princes and princesses then spent more time with each other than they did in golden and silver age movies, and to me, they date. Especially in "a whole new world". Oh, by the way, Aladdin and Jasmine are from very different social classes...like Lady and Tramp, right?

@TheTake can you make an analysis on Rapunzel's story and her relationship with Eugene? The series evolves the character a lot

Also i the thing i like in this movie is
1.It's really good in Korean dub(if you want to find the Korean dub buy the blu-ray Diamond Edition)
2.Very Romantic Spaghtetti scene
3.The music is great and very nostalgic
4.I like Tramp and Lady because it's really cute

Lady and the tramp is kinds similar to the aristocats except in the aristocats Duchess has kittens.
Both is about a sheltered pet that falls in love with a street cat/dog because a journey together. So many things happened that the two ends up liking each other.
Both pets don't want to leave their human and in the end the street cat/dog eventually also become a pet.

when Bella Noche played I got flashbacks to me watching the movie on DVD for the 10th time, ah good times. :)

The best part for me is when the Tramp passes the last meatball to Lady. No man ever gives up the last meatball to just any woman unless she was someone he was really, REALLY nuts about. 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was so sweet when her dog friends offered her to move with them if her family turned their backs on her. It definitely sounded like a marriage proposal but they were so polite and full of good intentions

another thing that adds up is how casual the way they first meet is. usually, when lovers-to-be meet for the first time there's already some kind of spark, even when the couple doesn't like each other at first you can see that there's some tension and magnetism between them. but the way Lady meets Tramp when drops by her porch is super average, they don't seem to really take much notice of each other at first, which is reflective of how many people didn't know they were meeting the love at their life when they got introduced to them.

I'd say tiana and naveen were pretty decent couple. They spent the entire film learning and balancing one another and changing together

This film is the epitome of classic Disney romance and nostalgia. For such an amazing family movie it's criminally underrated! And the dinner scene is ICONIC!

Wait y‘all call them Lady and the tramp? What are those names? In Germany they’re called Susi and Strolch, although when I was young (I still do) I called them Susi and Strolchie so it rhymes... haha

I relate to Lady more than with any Disney princess. I hope I can find myself, a husband and have a family just like Lady...minus the collar lol. Wish me luck and pray for me. 🙂

I just want remember that the princess movies like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Tangled are FAIRYTALES
In Fairytales there is no need to represent things in a realistic way, because fairytales speak in an idealized language
This is why are shown people who fall in love at first sight, because it is the IDEA of relationship that matters
It doesn’t matter how long they spent together, what matters is that they fell in love

Isn't it kind of implied that the reason Lady is so sad (and that Jacques and Trusty offer to take her in) is because she slept with Tramp and is now pregnant? I think I heard that somewhere. Casts things in kind of a darker light, no?

One thing that went way over my head all these years was the fact that Tramp hated the idea of babies but came to the rescue of one because Lady valued family and loyalty. The deeper he fell in love with her, the more he chose to respect her values and responsibilities. This movie ties with the first 7 minute opening of Up as romantic.

This movie shows relationships between two people with contrasting, but complementary personalities can be really wonderful and life-changing if it works out! :D One's strengths make up for the other's weaknesses, and vice versa, and by learning from each other and helping each other grow, they "complete" each other. It's almost like a soulmate connection.
However, it also depends on whether both individuals are mentally mature... Lady and Tramp have a healthy relationship bc both are willing to hear and discuss each other's life perspectives, values, and beliefs, so they can compromise with each other like adults. If either of them were depicted as childish, selfish, adamant, and close-minded, insisting their way of life is the "right" way while criticizing and rejecting the other's opinions... this movie wouldn't be as romantic and wholesome :v

I respectfully disagree that Lady and the Tramp is Disney's most romantic movie. I think Lady and the Tramp is THE most romantic movie of them all. The spaghetti scene has yet to be matched in this old man's eyes.

For anyone who’s seen the sequel we see Tramp trying to impart his life lessons on to his son Scamp. What Tramp tries to get across to Scamp is that while independence can feel nice, sometimes personal relationships are worth the one leash

For the movie itself, the problematic (to put it mildly) Siamese cat scene has me dubious. Check out the live action version on Disney plus and they definitely updated it

This movie is the actually the main reason spaghetti and meatballs are my favorite dish

The scene where tramp is selling the muzzle to the beaver, Lady finishes the pitch with "its a free sample" and you can see his exprrssion when she does. She picked up where he left off and worked with him. And he appreciated it. That small touch is exactly what would make a man fall for a women. Partners in crime without even trying to be.

That’s why this is men’s favorite one. Because it’s realistic and patient. Timeless.
