NGL, 'Young Sheldon' was rife with problems, in the form of a severe lack of continuity/coherence between it and its parent show, 'The Big Bang Theory', but I still cannot help but love TBBT and thoroughly enjoy YS 🤷🏻‍♀️

The true issue with TBBT was that they all lacked emotional sensibilities because they couldn't tell or consider Sheldon was obviously autistic (despite what the showrunners or what have you claim) and that Raj ended up single and Penny ended up preggers. Amd yes even though I'm sure Young Sheldon is a good show, it literally made no sense after having seen TBBT for the reasons Alex mentioned

I really enjoy young Sheldon I’m still waiting for season 7 tho

I used to be on the "BBT sucks" bandwagon years ago as well as thinking laugh tracks on shows were for the unenlightened. Every now and then I'd hate watch an episode here or there and found myself chuckling at some jokes despite trying to be above it all, almost feeling guilty for laughing. One show I openly liked was Friends even though it had a laugh track. After a lot of self reflection through the years I came to the realization that my hate for the show was a pure pretentious attitude and I had my head up my ass about shows with laugh tracks. I accepted a show doesnt have to be a revelation from God to be enjoyable. There are shows that you can watch and enjoy at a surface level and there are shows that you can enjoy because the depth is insane.
The point of this rant is, you can like a show with a laugh track and thats okay. You can not like a show because of a laugh track and thats okay. However if you find yourself looking down on people because they enjoy a show you label as beneath you, then it may be time to get your head out of your ass.
Ultimately I think this is a poor take on Young Sheldon. BBT was surface level, Young Sheldon had some depth. Sheldon is supposed to be annoying because it shows a family from Texas living with a pretentious little genius and the effects it has on a family who loves him despite that. Missy being neglected, Georgie trying to find his way to being a man while being over shadowed by his little brother, a father wanting his kids to be ready for the world while having a wife being so fixated on the special child and being blind to it all. Add on a grandma whos seen it all try and pick up where the parents dropped the ball. It's not the best show of all time for me but it's a pretty good show that I do recommend.

hey so I just wanted to address some of comments I'm seeing:

1. obviously I did not watch every episode of the show and take meticulous notes for a 15 minute video. I watched about 30 episodes total, mostly the ones
that had the most to do with BBT lore. I missed the part where the dad DOES have an affair, I focused more on the part where SHeldon thinks he walks in on it.

2. Growing up in the midwest in the 90s myself, I don't think of the mom as SUPER religious until the very end of the show when she gets SUPER bible thumper. Her
demanding Georgie get married at 17 or worrying about greed or peanut butter jelly or whatever, that didn't seem THAT weird to me given the context. I grew up in a time when parents were not letting their kids read Harry Potter or LOTR because of Satanic messages lmao. Perhaps this is a generational thing.

3. The "hamburger" joke and the "knows a lot about seals and hates polyester" jokes were written by someone with autism.

4. If you like the show... that's fine? Why do you care if I thought it was dumb?

5. some people are saying this video was uncharacteristically harsh, but I specifically went back and watched my old PLL, Vampire Diaries, and Riverdale videos
and made it along the same lines. Maybe I've softened up in recent years but it didnt' really seem any different to me when I was making it.
