Honestly, I don't care too much about pay to win skins. Sure, some people are gonna be sweaty and use them all the time and you know what? Good for them, they can climb another rank that way, I don't mind.
Obviously they should be banned in pro play, but in soloq, people need to chill.
I'd prioritize playing a game that looks cool as heck over one with the most visual clarity.

As a Camille player, it's always simpler to play with the default skin or IG skin just because the charged Q sound doesn't scream in the ears of the enemy.

Just starting this, but I've always hypothesized that one undersold effect of skins is psychological. If you have a skin that you think is really cool it pumps you up mentally and most people play better when they're feeling confident about something.

You kinda fail to acknowledge that Spirit Blossom Thresh looks completely different in game and actually has a mask. The problem win using splash art as a metric is that a lot of the splash art isn't fully representative of what it looks like in game. Been playing since 2014 and have never been tricked by a skin into thinking my opponent is a different champion than they are. Obviously excluding Neeko but that's just her mechanic and isn't at all skin related.

You can still identify champs by looking at the map.

You cant say that dota has worse visual clarity than league. it has litterally the best visual clarity of any game ive ever played. it is extremely obvious what is happening at any moment, unlike in league all of the spell effects are actually obvious, and it is really really really fucking clear what is going on. Ive never once died in dota and gone "WTF was that that killed me". I always know, and everyone Ive ever known whos played the game has said the same thing

Awesome video! My favorite skin is Omega Squad Twitch I love the way his simple crossbow is a high tech silenced rifle plus it sounds so clean when farming minions and the call back animation is him calling for a helicopter while giving the landing zone covering fire is freaking awesome. After getting that skin Twitch became my bottom lane main lol 😂

I think one of the core reasons skins have such varying winrates is simply because of the players who play these champs themselves. If you're really good at Yasuo and you love him so much, you'll want to get a nice looking skin. Naturally, that inflates the winrate of good-looking skins. Also, just in general people who purchase skins tend to play the game more and therefore be better at the game. That also inflates the winrate. So looking at stats can easily be misleading. When riot shares skin winrates always keep that in mind.
