Hello Craig , this is one of the best vids on this subject , I have a small tip for you & all who see this , to clean the spark arrestor mesh on the exhaust you can soak it briefly in brown vinegar , this eats the carbon off , but keep your eye on it as leaving it in there too long risks getting the mesh eaten away also !
I have a question for you , I have a very old Stihl 075 saw that just bogs out & dies every time I try to start it , real animal of an old thing , I have put new carb diaphragms on but no change , can you please go into more depth as to how to use the compression tester gauge to diagnose blown or old worn out crankshaft seals , as I think they have gone hard with age & no longer seal , but I would like to prove it to myself before stripping the whole saw down to get access to these seals . Many Thanks in advance .
Hey, i was under the impression that the high screw controlled the amount of fuel through the main jet, is this wrong?
ОтветитьI can’t fault any of your videos, very helpful but can be a bit technical.🤔😊😊👍
ОтветитьAwesome, thanks for taking your time to create these!!!
Ответитьthis was amazing. thank you for great detail to help with diagnostics. absolutely top marks 🙂
ОтветитьHaving worked on plant and small engines for years this truly imparts years of experience to those hungry to learn. Well done.
ОтветитьIT'S GOING TO BOG DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьIts the British version of Small Engine Saloon (less beer drinking 😂)
ОтветитьYou are a great teacher. Thank you for explaining cause and effect in such a detailed way. It helps one to know both ends of a problem because it helps you to figure out other problems.
ОтветитьVery informative I learnt a lot from it
ОтветитьThe later model Stihl saws do not have H & L adjustment screws
ОтветитьBrush cutter and Agriculture spray pump
ОтветитьUnbelievable content, I hope this is archived for eternity.
ОтветитьThank you for the thorough and complete walk through. I am an auto mechanic but I never really knew about 2 cycle motors or what problems exactly I am looking for with my chainsaw. This gives me pretty much all I ever needed to know.
ОтветитьBrilliant !
ОтветитьYou've put a lot of work into this. I wish this information was so readily available fifty years ago. Your information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
ОтветитьValueable👍
Ответитьissue on a saw I had was the coil lead was discharging in to motor a few layers of tape pushed it far enough away that the spark never made the gap
Ответитьthanks for this comprehesive review of areas to check when experiencing bog down.
ОтветитьI have this exact issue with my Husky 235 that i ment to use for light work around my garden, and this video gives me confidence to start troubleshooting. Never done any engine repairs before though..Very well explained. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhy there are No explonation how to fix the issue with main jet blockage?
ОтветитьGreat description, Cheers
ОтветитьVERY Thorough coverage of basically every possible cause of bogging down. Also, good tips on what to look for as the cause. Possibly daunting but hey - go for it and turn into Sherlock Holmes and find the problem!! Thanks for your efforts!!!
ОтветитьThe moral of the story is get a new carburetor it's just easier and in the end cheaper.
ОтветитьThe most information I have gathered to date from any class or video on the function of the mysterious little parts inside the carburetor of a chain saw. Well done!
ОтветитьI remember a quote: "carburettor" is a French word meaning DON'T TOUCH.
Ответитьexcellent forensic postmortem dissection.
ОтветитьA very good tutorial, thanks.
Ответитьawesome technical info Thank you
ОтветитьReally detailed and comprehensive.
ОтветитьLots of reasons why it would die off when give it gas
ОтветитьWhy because your not just giving it gas your giving it air as well
ОтветитьIve never been able to adjust the carb myself. Read instructions do it by the book. Never. Made a living with them for 18 years. Ill just replace carb. Or now run the fuel injection. Lighter less finicky more reliable.
ОтветитьNice vid good understanding of a diaphragm carburettor, some of these I have not checked thanks
ОтветитьI recommend the Echo Red Armor pre mix gas ⛽
ОтветитьYour tutorial is spot on and very explanatory..you do this so well TRS..Thankyou so much, what an expert you are... thanks again...
ОтветитьExcellent information and presentation.Thanks.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThat was by far the best carb-chainsaw related explanation an in-depth video I’ve come across. Thank you. I’ll be passing this one onto a friend, who’s MS391 starts ok but just won’t keep running. No matter the fuel or how much he adjusts the jets.
ОтветитьAs always, spot on! Thank you
ОтветитьWhew! There's A LOT that could go wrong with a bogged down engine.
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant explanation I really admire all the work effort and years of experience upon which you base this. It has made my mind up to get an electric saw as I see all these problems and wonder how my saw ever worked.
Ответитьso 500 things can be the issue....just say that
ОтветитьExcellent teaching
ОтветитьOnly those that can put it across to a brain dead student like me can be called a teacher you do an excelent job of teaching sir keep up the good work because you are living proof that your mother didnt throw out the baby with the bathwater and raise the afterbirth like some mothers do
ОтветитьI am surprised to learn of the complexity of a small carburetor on a garden tool. It's a world inside a world and your videos are the most informative of all I have seen yet.
ОтветитьBest video I've ever seen on two-stroke carburetors
Ответитьsaved my black ass once again TRS thanks Boss
Ответитьthanks!
