Where is she?

This movie came out just about 6 or 8 months before I went to boot camp and it was still right fresh in everyone's mind. Every single line in the movie, every Hartman rant, somebody had memorized and we were always reeling them off at each other or the instructors were doing it to us.

Years later when I went back as an instructor myself, I still had all these lines burned into my brain but a lot of the recruits didn't know the movie as well because it was old by then.

Boot camp is DESIGNED to put a mans character to the test. Better to have a man break there than in the field where others lives are put at risk.

One of my favorite movies, although this feels like two, (in the BEST way). You should re-release this in theaters, especially with the strike.

Ermney not winning an oscar for this performance is like Val Kilmer not winning for his roll as Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

He was a great man and a great Grill Sergeant, and he will be missed.

Why are there so many speech cuts? Hartman's original intro line is "I am gunnery sergeant Hartman your senior drill instructor" - the word "senior" is removed in this trailer. Plenty of other examples too, what for? It's a film about training soldiers and killing so censoring certain words makes no sense.

Are these cuts just for the trailer or did they make it into the film?
