Both discord and Reddit mods are a fucking nightmare

I'm an admin on a server and I'm on of the few staff members people actually like this is because all I really do is partnerships and scream at mods to unmute/unban people I have banned two people but it was for stuff that could get them banned from discord

I am a admin in a discord server i moderate,i am extremely shitposty and all and am active alot with the members and all,i made all the member level roles and all,there is one mf furry mod the owner thought of making mod,she well,defended a girl that acusses me of grooming her even though i never dm'ed her,uses her depression as an example excuse to post nsfw and all,that furry mod defended her like crazy,more then andrew tate meat riders,thst girl got banned but the furry mod is still a mod,coming in once every few months to argue with me and act like a "sigma female" before going offline again, she also flexes that she moderates better,i just tell jer right then and there "bro doesnt shower 💀"

She acts like a narcissist,and everything and is generally a chore to talk to

I got muted for 5 days for contracting the long word japanese (using it as a descriptor in this case) to jap. Mods immediately went "erm no racist words allowed I'm giving you a warning." I had to do a double take to remember that it was a less than friendly word used by Americans in the post ww2 40's and 50's. I talked back to the mf saying ur the only one associating it with racism and he immediately muted/silenced me (whatever it's called when you can't interact with a server) for 5 days. It's such an outdated word and it means nothing. I don't think adding a period to Jap. to imply a contraction would've saved me.

I'm so afraid of discord mods, because they are so fat that when they try to pursue me for talking shit to them from across the street, they might get a heart attack half way.

Had to a leave a server because the mods where open zoophiles… I’m not kidding. I posted a picture of my dogs on the pets channels, and the admin asked me if I “f*** them”. That was the last straw for me.

I will never understand how some Discord mods will dislike you for no reason and just be so spiteful and hateful for no reason.

Discord mods will literally play the victim when you call them out or return the same energy.

I just wish Discord had a concrete set of rules that you had to break to get banned from a server. Most social media does this with a TOS. But discord allows random people to decide to ban people because they disagree with them or something similarly dumb.

Idk man. Idk shit about reddit and everyone shit and piss on it, but I used Discord for years and it's not really like you say. I knew many sociable and cool people from it.
I hoenstly think bad Discord mods cause people to leave their servers quickly, which make them more common on small servers.
I also been in super dogmatic Discord servers and yet they were big, I think their problem is obvious, they attract dogmatic people who share similar opinions about certain topics.

In a lot, and I mean A LOT of servers most mods talk and act like they’re superior over you, and it’s just sad bc if you tick them off just a little bit they’ll make it personal and threaten you with a warning. Irl if they even mentioned doing that to anyone they’d get beat up

this video is extremely useful... discord clearly has alot of toxicity and is crawling with degenerates.. its like you can't have a normal and civilized conversation or interaction with people without offending someone or triggering someones inclination to put you in your place when you're simply just trying to talk about stuff you wanna talk about or just chill and have a good time.. people are very political, and yea sometimes its the mods and sometimes its the people that join.. where you got the classic anonymous gods that think theyre entitled to everything

I have discord for many years now and I had no idea that there is such a wider discord community. All eleven discords I am in are people I know, gaming groups I'm with. Some uni friends, irl friends, my guild over a decade. None of them are strangers. Like why would you go to a discord full of strangers? I'm amazed people just join each other's voice chats like that
