Can you suggest alternative ways to do this without an iPad Pro? I've just bought a brand new M2 MacBook Pro and can't currently afford another machine!

He uploaded the video before all the iOS updates but for the iPad app, now you can just use Apple Notes and it comes with a black background. :)

For matching the ipad audio to your camera audio or mic idea, you can use sync audio feature on FCP or Plural Eyes (too expensive but some people prefer it). Alternatively, you can just manually match the audio spikes and then delete the not main audio tracks that are from other devices.
