Overall, I think it's safe to say the game didn't live up to the hype, BUT I wouldn't dismiss it completely. I still enjoyed the game very much. I think at a cheaper price, it's worthy playthrough for almost any gamer. Funny how things are, 15 years ago, there were much more games like this: linear campaign and not much else to it. So as a result, as a gaming community we grew sour to these types of games, and they have gone by the wayside. But now, with much more games leaning toward an open world, it's easier to appreciate a simpler experience like this, and just enjoy the game for what it is. I felt much the same about Evil West. It won't rock your world, it won't stay with you for years after, but it's a perfectly enjoyable experience in a tight 10 hour window. Either way though, I hope the Dead Space Remake has much more breadth to it. As always, thanks for watching!

Man the melee combat reminds me of dead rising. It’s like deadspace and dead rising had a baby that took more after deadspace. I like it.

The game had amazing graphics, fantastic sound and ambience but subpar gameplay. I feel like the combat could've been done a lot better. During the sneaking past the sec-bots part, I literally became a puckerputt.

Pretty much just a compendium of crap.

You did a good job. But I see why it did not do so well. Combat looks painfully repetitive with nothing to make it feel fresh except the scenery. Using the same mechanics with the stasis and literally "Stomp to get stuff" lifted from dead space game did not help comparisons. And then copying the "Cut of the limbs" Blood wall WHILE also just spelling it out for you again rather than doing neither and letting the player figure it out cheapened it. And of course the Bioshock recorded messages and "ghosts" that give minor plot points.

Its sad because its a good concept. If they had added a kick mechanic to knock enemies into hazards that might have gone a long way. Also perhaps a way to lure or trick enemies into being attacked by robots or defenses. Just feels like they didn't really figure out how to make it feel more like an open level with strategy rather than just railroaded levels.

Alright, Why, oh why didn't you take the energy converters back up to the forge and sell them. If you're going to record yourself doing something stupid, at least edit it out of the video.

Amature reviewer here (by serial YT banhammer award winner)... Keep playing. It gets better after you learn new things, then you get stronger and know more of what to do. This feels like a VR version is coming next, but I feel like it will be this all over again in VR... Please VR Gods, make a VR Extension Pack or Part 2 for this with 20+ Hours PSVR2 Campaign. It will pump life into VR. Guaranteed.

The Graphics on the mountain in the snow storm are sooo fantastic, some of the best ever...

I absolutely hated the melee fest. Graphics are awesome but the combat ruined it. Didn’t even finish because I got bored to hitting the monsters over and over.
