Loved Dinosaurs so much as a kid watched these movies so many times (never really watched the ice age one much)

This scene always manages to always bring me to tears. It has the best of an animal documentary and the best of an action movie. Bartlett’s score is perfect: it coveys perfectly the danger and horror of a gang of giant predators, effectively monsters, trying to subjugate a magnificent animal to kill and eat it, and at the same time shows sympathy for the struggle of the predators, dwarved by the colossal hervibores, giving praise to their boldness. It touches my heart every time.

Bringing down Diplodocus by dinosaurs is very unrealistic ...😂😂😂

I think Allosaurus, Ornitholestes, Stegosaurus and Diplodocus plus Apatosaurus and Camarasaurus are my favorite dinosaur species from the Morrison Formation. I love their paleontology and natural history.

I read a fascinating question/ analogy regarding the feeding needs / most of the day sleeping habits of elephants (they need massive amounts of food and sleep a LOT). The guy's point was how could a dinosaurs 50 times larger than a giraffe (but with a head only 2 -3 times as big) manage to eat enough food to fuel an e.g. 40 ton body daily ?? Interested to see answers on this...

This stampede is awesome, the way the Saurophaganax move out of the way just in time when of the Diplodocus is about to trample them, it's just so damn realistic and I love every of it.

i'm still waiting for a documentary with actual dinosaurs information and modern CGI who could being a worth it succesor of this masterpiece but 20 years later any documentary could do that yet, just Prehistoric Planet get some closer but when you are watching it, the show doesnt gives you a full vibes of real animals documentary. WWD stills being the top1 (fortunately or unfortunately)

I grew up with this series, I think I was about 4 when I started watching. Allosaurus is still one of my favorites.
My obsession with dinosaurs almost pushed me into paleontology, but I'm still glad I can come back to these to relive that time. Scientific changes and new discoveries have made some of this series outdated, and yet this feels timeless.

i wanna shout out to "Prehistoric Planet" Despite your amazing CGI, this is how you make a dino documentary! Good CGI but a little off hand on the writing.
