Getting it all in pre isn’t usually bad beat. If I make it to the flop somehow with 10 3 offsuit and flop a boat that’s a lot different than jamming 10 3 offsuit preflop.

Now if a hand starts getting 3 and 4 bet pre and then it goes all in, that could be a bad beat. The AK vs AK hand was a bad beat.

If you don't presently play poker, then take my advice, please please dont start. These bad beats are ridiculous and happen all the time and its very hard to mentally deal with them. Example: Some time ago I raised big with pocket AA, I get one caller who stupidly called with total air, 10 5 spades. Flop comes A spades, 2 hearts and 9 clubs. Giving me a massive trips hand of AAA, basically the nuts. I bet half his stack of 3000, he calls.. what is he calling with? Hell knows, but maybe he has trips also, but not like my AAA. Turn comes 8 spades I go all in and push my whole stack over the line. He tanks and tanks, I know I have him beat. After ages he calls, he flips over his stupid 10 5 spades. So, he calls with one to a flush that he wants on the river, who the fuck gambles their whole stack to just one card? River comes, and its the 7 spades! I lose to a fucking crazy idiot who sucked out on me after calling with complete shit! I should take my own advice and stop playing poker at all! That one hand cost me £10.000. I went home so depressed, that it kept me awake for 5 nights and I couldn't get it off my mind. Poker can make you mentally ill with the bad beats and suck outs. So much so I have written a film script called "The poker murders" about an obsessed player who is so sick of the bad beats he gets he decides to murder the ones that do it to him, with their foolish play, which he leaves on their dead bodies, the very 2 cards they beat him with. Cops can't catch him, only clues they have is the 2 playing cards left at the crime scene, of course different every time, but match a particular hand that they won with, but shouldn't have. Don't steal my idea if you read this, but If you want to get someone interested in my film script then I sure as hell would be grateful. They should have enforced the obscure rule on the guy at the end, that when he walks away from the table like that, it evidences an intent to resign, and the game is over before the river card is dealt. Give all the chips to the other guy. Then reveal the 10 as a mere extra matter. That teaches him not to quit on his own hand like that.
