Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge - Cosmonauts vs Rocketeers

It's been a long time since we had a "vs" video so here it is and a special one!

Cosmonauts are units available only in the Soviet Campaign, mission 6 "The moon". Along with Desolators, they are the only infantry available for training in that mission.

Since they are not available in skirmish games a modification needs to be done with the files to recruit them. Thanks to the user "TAK02" for helping out with this procedure making this test possible to happen.

So, Cosmonauts are basically a better version of Rocketeers nearly in every way. They have a bit less damage but make up with a very fast attack speed and a much better range. Things start to get complicate between those two when promoted.

Rocketeers are one of those units that are heavily improved upon promotions. A veteran Rocketeers is much stronger than a basic one but.. the same happens with a Cosmonaut overpowering a Racketeer even in veterancy.

Where Rocketeers really shine is in Elite status. Rocketeers simply become incredibly powerful gaining the upper hand against an Elite Cosmonaut who do not really change much from veterancy. An elite Cosmonaut may only beat an elite Rocketeer by taking full advantage of his range otherwise the Rocketter will always win.

As powerful as elite Rocketeers may be, they still do not match Cosmonauts vs structures. Cosmonauts destroy structures much faster and combined with their greater range they are far superior for this task.
