It has come to my attention that Red Dead Redemption has a bug where if you change the Frame Buffer size from 1GB to 4GB it will not auto allocate past 4GB. All other games to my knowledge at the moment work fine and can actually get an increase in performance.
Regarding A1 vs A2 SD cards, I am going based on US pricing, but some A2 cards are as cheap as A1 cards, so why not get the faster card. Doesn't mean you have to, I would just shop around and see what best suits you. A1 cards are still great and perform very well.
I want to die!
ОтветитьI got a TB card for 65 bucks
ОтветитьSuper helpful, good video quality and poise.
ОтветитьI believe the deck maxes out at 100 mbs off the SD card.
ОтветитьJust got my steam deck and appreciate the tips. I also like the production value and delivery in your video! I look forward to watching more of your content.
Ответитьnumber 4 is also the case for new phones. I did that twice with my S23 Ultra just to be sure
Ответитьand also, turn off Vsync
ОтветитьThis thing is trash. Out of 6 steam deck verified games, 2 worked for me. GTA IV and V both do not work at all. Just crashes. Unless you are a highly experienced pc gamer who knows coding, this thing is pretty much useless. Returned mine.
ОтветитьPC = Portable Computer
ОтветитьI honestly don't understand why people are so annoyed by hearing a fan.... Lol it doesn't bother me.
ОтветитьI wouldn't recommend setting frame buffer size to 4gb unless you know what you need and want. The main reason is that it might affect how steam deck verified games run. For example Devil May Cry 5 crashes from time to time with 4gb, because the memory runs out and it doesn't have time to adjust. I would recommend keeping it at 1gb or at most 2gb and increase it if you have a specific game that requires it.
ОтветитьThanks brotha, going to do all of this. I snagged a perfect condition month old deck with an upgraded 1TB SSD for $35 more then retail. (64gb)
ОтветитьThank you for the advice. Unlike many other channels you've kept it simple. Handy for a technophobe like me! Lol
ОтветитьTy
ОтветитьThat calibrate battery it's working? I ordered one of 512 GB and it's about to arrive
ОтветитьYou don't need a2 sd card as steam deck can read only at 100mb/s speed. a1 is enough.
And why would you need a dock? There is a pc and consoles for playing on a monitor
Best Advice ever !!!!!!!! Do not buy garbage !!!!!!!, come out with something worth it maybe but steam deck is not worth anything in my books, If you going to gear towards kids then make it kid proof, why so expensive games if it's for kids ? If it's for adult's why are all the part's so cheap ? I would not spend 100$ on any of it. So many suckers will buy this crap, people just don't get it.. Sorry about your luck hahaha sucker's..
ОтветитьCalibrate your battery 🙄🤣
No, the number 1 tenant of lithium ion battery management is DO NOT run it all the way down to 0%.
Fantastic video showing some little nuances for us new Steam Deck owners! Instant subscribe based on how informative this is and the breakdown for each piece of information. Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьSo after 4 months, are there any problems with changing UMA from 1GB to 4GB? Or are there only advantages?
ОтветитьWhat projector did you have in this video? I'm very interested in that kind of setup in the bedroom lol
ОтветитьIf Nintendo wants my money they can stop forcing me to buy their shitty hardware and release their games on all platforms
ОтветитьSuper helpful, thank you 🙏
ОтветитьAlso beyond just the 4gb vram setting
I recommend Cryoutilities, cryo utilities is amazing for FPS boost and performance boost in Triple A games
Doesn't Steam Deck's SD card slot limit at 100Mb/s or something? So 160 wouldn't benefit anyone..?
ОтветитьHello shakrukh Ali, which projector do you use for your steam deck? Which one do you recommend?
ОтветитьCharging to 100%, draining to 0% and charging again does NOTHING other than ruining the battery... it's a tip that was correct and made sense like 15-20 years ago with old battery tech, now just try keeping it between 20 and 80 percent...
ОтветитьGreat tips! I’ve just ordered my Steam Deck and have been buffeting on Steam Deck videos lately; these tips will definitely help me get running when it arrives! +subbed! 😄
ОтветитьThat website one is hella good, thanks so much for that!
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm not very tech savvy, but this was very helpful. Thank you :)
Ответитьyou are so good 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
ОтветитьCan anyone recommend me on if I should get a switch oled or steam deck
ОтветитьAnother one is to make the UI look how you want it with CSS Loader through Decky Loader. You can make edges round and set up dark mode
ОтветитьSteam deck can handle sd card up to 100mb/s. Anything above is just overkill paying for nothing
Ответитьya ball out at 160mbps lol
ОтветитьGreat video just ordered my steam deck
ОтветитьHope to see more Steam Deck videos soon 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the vid
Ответить❤ my deck
ОтветитьAPU actually means Accelerated Processing Unit and is a AMD branding. contains CPU GPU on same die as intel non-F CPUs . Quality content though. Keep it up mate
ОтветитьGreat video! Anyone know what projector that is? And the clamp? I'm looking for a similar setup in my bedroom.
ОтветитьYou forgot the powerbank recommendation. And hero launcher for epic games and GOG
ОтветитьMan reading reddit posts are insanely difficult for noob PCers. Super easy video that simplifies this shit and makes it easy to get into. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you brother my Steam deck is coming tomorrow and i will use the tips and all you provided!! :)
ОтветитьWhat wallpapers are those behind you?
ОтветитьYet again a bunch of "tips" that are pretty in your face options on the Deck. The UMA setting is a good tip though. HOWEVER, DO NOT "CALIBRATE" YOUR BATTERY. I don't know if we went back 20 years but this is not how you should ever treat a modern battery. Fully draining a battery can potentially cause permanent damage; long story short lithium's atoms break down and now you can charge your battery less, it's irreversible. Fully charging a battery is also generally not the best thing to do when it comes to battery life but the Steam Deck does combat it a little with trickle charging after 85% and generally not going to an actual 100% unless you do leave it for a long while. While doing this once to your battery is not going to kill it or anything it's just not something you should ever aim to do; if it happens it happens, but don't do it on purpose--you are doing two worst things you can do to your battery, and to my knowledge Steam Decks do not have an issue with displaying the proper charge amount.
ОтветитьCan someone recommend a projector for cheap, possibly with 4k support?
ОтветитьI'm at work right now but mine was just delivered to my house and it's killing me!!! The only reason I got one was to play the higher alphas in 7 days to die! But I'm definitely going to use some of not most of these tips! Thanks so much man!!!
