I just bought a 2023 range rover sport autobiography. I tried to watch videos from a USB but it seems there's no way you can do that. When a USB is connected it says theres nothing to play. I tried with the all supported formats but no luck. It only plays MP3. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi Thomas, can you give any indication of the fuel consumption in hybrid mode and how long the battery will last with hybrid driving. I currently drive an EV but am interested in this to remove the challenge with range. I understand petrol only is likely to return about 22mpg, and understood that in hybrid motorway driving this would double. Thanks

This is a great car, but this is not how PHEV is supposed to be implemented: with this large battery, Land Rover must use only electric motors for the traction, leaving the gas engine exclusively as a range extender, working under optimum efficiency and durability parameters. There is no logic whatsoever to do PHEV in any other way.

I’m in Belgium and I considered to buy one, but then the dealer told me that in an autobiography, the sound system is only 400 watts for electronic chips problem, but you pay the 800watt system without having it!!! And that you don’t have the hands free tailgate for the same reason, but you still pay it!! Moreover the delivery date is in 15 months, and if you order it they don’t fix the price for you, they revise the price at the delivery and they probably will increase the price then!!! So I changed my mind. I’m considering a Lotus Eletre rather than this range rover sport. The Eletre is even more advantageous for the taxes system in Belgium.

Thanks for the detail review. Just wondering if anyone here has driven the P400 also the D300 of the this model. In Australia we have both engines available to order ( Diesel comes first, petrol in 2024), not so sure which one to order. I driven the D300 of the Range Rover sport, also own a D300 defender. Can’t compliant so far, great engine.

Tomas.. I feel that I must take issue with one comment you made in your otherwise excellent video on the Plug In Rajge Rover Sport... You referred to Landrover Range Rovers being on the "outside" of the "S.U.V" market sector when compared to German rivals from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche etc. Whilst these marques may dominate the market in some respects it should not be forgotten that it was indeed LandRover from the U.K. who pioneered the concept of a genuine "Off Road "capable vehicle, yet at the same time offering a far greater level of comfort than any similar alternative, when the first RangeRovers were launched in 1970..!!..

For me one of the Most striking aspects of the rear view of the new Range Rover Sport is the "hidden" rear windscreen wiper. A much cleaner and more "efficient"(?) placement than on even much more expensive "S.U.V"/genuine Off-Roaders.....

you might need the stormer pack with the limited slip diff and the v8, there is an svr coming too

does it challenge German competitors? interesting approach considering RR has been in the market with luxury SUV decades before any German competitor. Besides being quite "konkurrenzlos". Range rovers play in their own league. unfortunately because with that they have become quite unaffordable.

I quite like the interior and the creative solution with the knobs (3 functions in one knob!). Intriguing car.

THIS IS A MUCH BETTER DESIGN THAN "THE" RANGE ROVER, WHICH IS ALMOST COMICAL IN COMPARISON.

In 2 years that will be worth half its current value - for a reason.

I'm torn between waiting to get another Volvo with the latest and greatest interior or get a Range Rover something. I like how I feel in both. I've been rather fortunate with reliability of the Volvo. The Range may have reliably issues but you only live once. I don't know. I'm still not yet ready for a Tesla but we'll see.

From your experience having worked for JLR, is there hope regarding liability? Maybe a bit off-topic. With the current CEO leaving the company because of personal reasons and a new Jaguar coming only in 2025 (all current models will not get a successor), is it a doable move to establish Jaguar as a Bentley rival instead of competing with Mercedes/BMW?

I ordered my range rover sport P530 at May, until now they still haven't produce it. My dealer told me rangerover give all the 4.4 V8 to Range rover.......it's endless waitting time for my P530

It’s so frustrating that right now none of the Premium brands has managed to make the perfect SUV. This vehicle takes cares of the minuses from BMW (X7) or Porsche … and viceversa. I’ll wait another 2 years until someone gets their act together before I hand them $150K

Great review as always. Would be interesting if you compared the big SUVs on snow roads or farm tracks to show their capabilities. Not many used as intended but in Scotland a lot are for skiing, farmers, high roads in winter etc. Totally agree with your summary, it’s what YOU want. I’ve owned a Cayenne which has great dynamics and quality, and a Range Rover Sport which is compromised in dynamics because of its off road capabilities and the ride is far superior. If I lived in Germany I’d buy a Cayenne due to your road quality and speed limits and in Scotland a Range Rover for the same reason 😉

The electric motor on the door handle mechanism is just another thing waiting to break.
