I do accept and respect Authority - the Authority that comes with experience, with Wisdom, with a complete commitment to putting these resources at others' benefit. I accept the Authority of Parents and Elders. I do not accept the authority of anyone who does not love me and who isn't more committed to my welfare than I am. I do no accept the authority of anyone who I do not know well enough to know that they live more wisely and well than I do.
I might, in order to make life easier, play as though I accept rules. But I'm just gaming the system when I do that. It doesn't come from a place of respect at all. It's an insult, actually.
