so many emotional scenes in this movie and always makes me cry so much and so emotional

The scene with Manhatten being underwater is a very clever idea.

Destination... Man-Hattan

I think this movie's biggest impact is how perfectly it depicts a future, dystopian humanity. It feels crazy and we're not there yet, but at the same time it's just relatable enough that we can absolutely see this happening and that makes one sick to the stomach. It hits that balance just right.

This movie is slowing becoming a reality

It is interesting that the old skyscrapers build in 1900s-1930s are almost in perfect condition. same with twin towers. But all glass skyscrapers are just iron and steel spine.

even though most landmarks are intact the Empire State Building is no where to be seen

The weeping lions ... power that once was and the messaging of this movie and the fairy tail. Powerful

They Picture The Twin Towers Here Like They Were The Pyramids of Egypt or The Statue of Liberty. The WTC Was Beautiful, But It Was Fragile.

Would’ve been very interesting how Scorsese would’ve made this if Spielberg couldn’t direct.

Incredible how this movie spoke different to both children and adults. For adults it was about existential life and the human condition. For kids it was about hopefulness and unconditional love.

I remembered I cried after watching this movie and I was just 6 years old.

Cool the lion being Babylon and losing.

I like the city is wiped out but it appears this company is still operating in New York City.

As a kid, watching this movie, you know you could feel the connection of a kid’s worst fear of being abandon and unloved.

It was sad and depressing a little bit, but in the end it was kind of beautiful if you think about it. Plus it does kinda teach you something. Just know in life you we all have to do our parts and wishes can come true if you can make it to be no matter how long it takes.

With cities flooding like shows us the need for flying car technology like in Back to the Future Part 2 because then cars can be "driven" in more types of environments besides just driving on roads.

This is one of those movies i watch to feel depressed.

I can remember all of us in the cinema that day seeing that scene of the two towers still standing and us realizing afterwards that they are actually gone. Still gives me shivers thinking about it
