Sirius seems like the most likely culprit, but given that I've been fighting to get them out of my home system of Leesti any chance I get for a couple years now, even if they're innocent it won't change my attitude toward them. The Chariot of Rhea has shoot-on-sight orders against me, and I wear it with as much pride as my triple Elite badge. They have no business in the Old Worlds!

Thank you for this and all the rest, we need this, this is one of the reason the gameplay is deep, because there are narratives, emergent gameplay, stories, mechanics, adventures that can be created, cool missions and so much more...
Having a galnet news or even multiple versions like alternative galnet news etc could be something very interesting too.
