If Steve Rogers had jumped on a grenade in a small, confined space, what he did would have been brave.

Out in the open with everyone safely out of the way, this is just idiotic.

His instinct was to protect. Afraid but determined as he waited those long seconds before he would be ripped apart by that grenade.
This was the most heroic, most selfless thing one could have done. No glory, probably not even a mention outside of some military files if that would have been a real grenade.

And as we stand in awe for this scene in a movie... take a moment, only a moment... to know that there were such heroes - many, many of whom we never heard and never will hear - with such courage.
And those that you do know of: remember them and tell their tales.

Why would Erskine look for a strong fast soldier who’s a bully and a wimp at the same time when he’s going to inject the chosen soldier with a serum that will make any strength of their own redundant anyway.

This is what Marvel used to be. They focused on character development and told us why characters DESERVED their powers. We see it here, we saw it with Tony Stark, we saw it with Thor when they took away his power.

I wish Disney did not ruin this Franchise!
