I know the 6400 allows continuous shooting of video no record limit does the 6100 have that?

Not happy with Sony at all. It's clearly taking too long for them to release the new cameras and there is very limited selection. Sony needs to switch to monthly releases and cover 6200, 6150, 6700, 6800 and 6900.

I asked Brian Smith (a Sony Artisan) about that chart... because if you were going strictly by it (the chart), all 3 cameras have the same AF system, but he said it's not true, he said the a6600 will have true "Real-Time" AF, and superior to the other 2 bodies. I was rather disappointed to hear that, because I'm 100% stills photographer and started thinking that I can just pick up an a6100, especially for wildlife/birding photography... I guess we'll just have to wait and see when they are out and people doing actual tests. I'm really hoping he's wrong. While a lot of people whine and complain about how disappointed they are with the a6600, the a6100 might just be a hidden gem

Great video comparison.
I have the a6400 and I'm very happy with it. Take great photos. I use Sony lenses so really, I don't need to spend another $500 just for IBIS and the Z battery. With the W battery, I use at my 2 per day when I'm on vacation. I cannot see myself taking 500 vacation pictures per day . That would be a lot.

I agree with your video. I have already decided and bought an A6400 months ago. I added a sixty dollar battery grip for my A6400 which matches the power in the new Sony battery, The battery grip also enhances the ergonomics of the little camera. I shoot with native Sony glass that has OSS, so IBIS is not important. IMO the A6400 at nine hundred bucks is a better value, IMO than the A6100...

Why has Sony been so late with getting IBIS into these cameras? $1,450 for a body only is a high price given several outstanding competitors offer more for less. Even the Canon full frame RP is less money, and superior build quality. Olympus, Fuji, and Panasonic also have terrific specs and feature sets. All do certain things very well. If you do not have Sony lenses why would you consider the A6400 or A6600?

Why I have the feeling that there is a A7000 around the corner?

Good, concise, no frills, no drama comparisons! Thanks. Your's is the best mini comparison I've seen. If I might also add, the other extra for the a6600 is eye-focus tracking in video, which the other two does not have. That is another reason to go for the a6600. That makes sense if you want precision in shooting video.

I agree with your conclusion, the a6400 is the best option of the three. I might just consider that for my camera. I may just have to take an extra battery with me always as backup though. I do have many of that however. So no big deal. The U$500 difference between the two, however is a big deal. That can be used to buy the new 70-300 G lens! Just add U$499 more!

Looks like the 6400 is still the best bet. Thanks for the video.

For me the a6600 is not an big upgrade from my a6500, so no new camera for me. I was waiting for an a7000 with a bigger body, new sensor and better IBIS. I think that Sony will never release a top APS-C camera, they are protecting the FF cameras.
